Pics from other sites

Hi all,

Just a quick one.

How many people on this site would like to post a pic from another site to find out contact details of a particular lb when there are no pics on Asiants and ther are so many with the same name and very similar features.

The pic can only be used in the location section purely for fact finding and posting pics from other sites for other reasons will be deleted at the descretion of the administrators.

This would be extremely handy for numbers and e-mails.

Your thoughts.

I believe that it is a legal issue and not simply what the forum membership would like for their convenience...

Yes it is - they are copyrighted and owned by the other site. Therefore by publishing on an open forum is a breach of that copyright and the site could be legally liable.

Very much a no-go i believe.

i have personally been involved with two copyright disputes as 1)  the infringer 2) the owner  .

these were very minor cases that didnt go to court. In both cases the compensation talked about was around £25,000...  both ended in a draw with both side backing down but the legal costs were in thousands.

these cases dont go to court as as rule because one side is usually bankrupt by legal fees before it happens.

i've never met the girl, so can't give anything like 100%, but i will say based on the, um, face-saving distortions of the truth, shall we say that i have heard over the years from nigh on to a hundred girls in similar positions, i'd put the odds at about 100 to 1 that katoeylover is correct.

and i'm still looking for that 1.

btw, kl, anna sure does clean up nice in your avatar.
