In any case, I feel this forum is run very well. I get all the information I need. The topics are entertaining and fun to read. Thanks to some, we have a wonderful collection of photos, trips reports, and stories. I love that we don't have a hundred different forum channels. All in all this is a great place.

ATS Forums was my first LB forum and has remained my only. Everything that I can imagine and want is right here, all packed into a great enviroment... I've no need to go anywhere else.

I'm posting on the Forum almost everyday; yea I gotta get a life.

So if I'm here anyway, it's easy enough to help out a bit, maybe move a post from let's say from the main section to the Travel section. if i stumble across something that needs to be moved, it takes a few seconds.

I hardly ever delete anything...........less is more.

I can't speak for the other mods but i figure it's more or less the same same for them.

So the real question is why am I posting here almost every day?

I assume you don't get paid, correct? So why would you invest your time moderating to make this a better forum, which makes the ATS product better, which helps the owners of the site make more money?

Just to clarify things, I do get some remuneration for my moderating, however it's certainly not enough to quit my day job. It does however assist with airfares and spending money for my trips to LOS, and the occassional luxury item.

In reality, the money is clearly not the motivator, you have to be passionate about the ladyboy scene, and get some satisfaction from assisting likeminded individuals.

In addition, through my moderating and involvement with a variety of ladyboy forums, I have made some great friends, and built up a nice network of contacts.

In the future it may develop into a viable "career" for lack of a better word, but in the meantime I honestly enjoy doing what I do !

If only I could say the same thing about my current 9 to 5.

It keeps an attachment to LOS while I'm stuck in hell.

Taking the chicken shit route and posting under a hidden name is not the way I wanted to do this, but I think alot of people feel the same way by talking with them but everyone is afraid of SB's delete button.

If you have convictions stick with them, I thought that was the idea of having usernames in the first place.

I have never seen deletion of posts just for disagreeing with Stogie or a mod, I have seen him come down hard on people he thinks are saying stupid things.
I don't think the site is over moderated and what I have seen goes towards the smooth running of the site. I remember Stogie saying he likes to keep the moderating light and as KL said it normally has to be off-topic, racist or just plain stupid to get deleted.

I agree with you about the Costassg situation I think that got out of hand.

Good debate and good points...

Here are some of my own...

We have never barred anyone from joining the forum EVER! But we have banned the use of TWO user names... Bricktop is one (and he now happily posts under a new name) and costassg is the second. Not bad for a moderated forum that has had thousands of members in the last few years! (costassg has sent and continues to send me emails that describe how he'd like to kill me and close down the forum, etc.)

Next - our 18 month promotion was a gift to paying members who read the forum, so that's not really the same as giving points to non members so they could earn a free membership. I see no percentage in that at all.

What integrity of the administrators. Anyone that harshly disagrees with the board has their post deleted.

Simply untrue. In fact many people disagree with my right wing rantings and quite vociforously too. I've never deleted any posts for simply disagreeing with me. I'm thick skinned and I live in a small bullet proof cupboard under the stairs!

The ratings feature won't work here because I know posters who post brilliant travel informatuion, or continually supply contact details of models and have less than 100 posts where as people with more posts tend to stick to the Fish Box theartre of trivia and probably would earn a rating that doesn't really reflect their contribution to all readers.

If there was a way to do it I WOULD reward the trip reporters because I believe that this is one of the most interesting aspects of our online community...

Trip reports are without doubt one of the most interesting things to read on this forum, even better with photos to illustrate them & some of the lively debates in other areas also add to this being a better forum than many in its field. I quite enjoyed doing the trip reports despite the time it took, getting rewarded for it isn't really the motive for me, & Iam not sure its the motive for others either. Its fun!

Whether the Missionary will be back, i don't know, I got mighty pissed off with all the idiots getting over excited about there "girlfriends" putting out to all & sunder who could pay while they were out of town. Get real folks.

 There is no doubt that these guys add a lot to the Forum and go to some trouble to write it up and post all those pics.  

Perhaps you could give them one of those I Stogie T-shirts you had run up last year.  

Offloading a few of those would give you more room in the cupboard too

Could not care less about the other forum and points systems but would like to see this one change.  Sure I love the real reports from Billy or Cosstag (Oops sorry the Administrators deleted him).  Yes I had to create a seperate login to post this because I am sure my account would be deleted after I posted a real opinion.  And by the way I did not agree with everything Cosstag said but some of you guys just ridiculed his misunderstanding of the English language, which pissed him off and eventually led to the threats...my two cents.

I am sure SB (who I have met, and found to be a pretty good guy) will pounce on this and tear it up, along with the flock of posters just trying to up thier post count (come on admit it guys).

On the flip side the Administrators do a really good job of trying to keep the posts in the right category, keeping the conversation moving, etc.  But if we are really here to enjoy LB's, share stories, and help the newbies then lets do it.  Right now all the newbies easily get pounced on for asking questions that everyone says they should have performed a search for..weren't we ALL newbies at one time or another.

The good old days of meetings at Big Dogs seem to be long gone which is a shame because sitting out there and watching the LBs and GGs head to work was a Bangkok tradition.  Now the main agenda seems to be promoting the Guess bar.  Oh my mistake, occaisionally we mention Obsessions or Pattaya.  How come I seriously doubt if the new 131 bar is successful they will not have thier own thread?

BTW I see your post is still here. I think you confuse the issues. Stogie has no problem in you having a crack at him but takes exception to you having a go at the site.

I mean some common sense guys. Can you tell me which major department store would let you stand inside and shout at the top of your lungs that they are not worth the money please shop next door!

As far as costass is concerned he is just a fool. He could have easily registered under another name after he was banned and for good reaon but decided to go down the other road.

BTW nobody ever said this forum was independent so if Stogie or anyone else has a vested interest somewhere then whats your problem?

Constructive suggestions/criticisms have always been welcomed, and Bam & Stogie have always fixed any technical problems that may have arisen with good humour. All sites have rules and this site has less than most. In the interests of all members sometimes crap has to be deleted.
