How Do Ladyboys Work in Singapore

A Ladyboy told me that if a Bangkok Ladyboy shows up alone to work in Singapore, that the Singapore Ladyboys will turn violent. If this is true then how do so many Ladyboys from Bangkok get to work in Singapore. I know a couple of Ladyboys that would like to work in Singapore but are scared to get beaten up by the Singapore Ladyboys. What do they need to do to work in Singapore. I heard that they are only allowed to work for 30 day's and then need to leave for 14 day's before returning. If anybody has information on this topic. Thanks

No its the other way round. They get a tourist visa for 14 days. Turn up at Orchard towers and i dont know how they get the work, but they end up in Crazy horse or Romeos.

Singapore LB's can not work in the bars in OT, thats why you see them on the escalators and outside only.

It also depends on the discretion of the immigration officer - if he feels they are suspicious and may be working in the bars, he could deny entry - or stamp for less than 14 days.

The way the lbs get positions in the bars - it is some sort of mafia process. They contact the "mafia" and then arrange to pay a sum of money for the privilege of working in a particular bar. Not exactly sure how much this sum is, but it is not insignificant.

Also as KL has mentioned, Singaporean lbs are not allowed to work inside the bars at OT.

Apparently there are a few Malaysian, Chinese, Filipino and Indian lbs working there on occasion, but the Thai lbs make up the highest percentage.

She went through a different passport control stant than I did (I am telling you this one to understand that I could not say anything or influence the situation) and they gave her 30 day tourist visa stamp. They gave me the same. Singapore passport control always give 30 days tourist STAMP to everyone from Europe, USA, Australia, Thailand, Malaysia and some other countries. Do not know anything about Re-Entry in a short period of time.

Diablo, that is good news that Ex was able to get 30 days on her visa. However, that is the maximum the immigration officer can stamp Thai's in for - they are not required to give 30 days to everyone - it is still their discretion.

I have seen the visa stamps for a few Thai lbs who have worked in Singapore and a number of them are for 14 days, some even 7 days. If the immigration officer is suspicious they will stamp for less days or refuse entry.

Another reason for deportation from Singapore is visa overstay, which many of the "working" ladies try to do.

The more often an lb visits SG without a legitimate business reason, the more likely immigration will be suspicious and stamp for less than 30 days or even refuse entry.

I was in singapore yesterday. Even if it is not the correct purpose of this topic, I wanted to mention it : I ended up (by accident) in the the nest of LB's in Singapore !
Actually my hotel was the HQ of Thai LB's I saw about 20 and I suppose I just saw a very small part of it. This hotel is the Strand hotel on Bencoleen St.

it might be a good place to hunt if you do not dare to go to OT...

I had problems getting in Singapore not my GF, Ex... they stopped me and checked my passport fon at least one hour... (i had to wait in a room with illegal immigrants from Africa )
I know what you mean... depends on their mood. I remeber the officer was aking Ex if she is a woman...

Anyway.... if they see you nicelly dressed and polite I think they will give you the Max allowed 30 days... (and that goes for U grrrls)

Mostly factually incorrect. I have lived here 4 years and spoken to literally dozens of GGs/LBs about this, plus many bar staff in OT. Although I don't expect all of THEM to be 100% correct, there is loads of similarity with what they all say.

Immigration do not ALWAYS give 30 day stamps. It depends on a range of things:
- How often have they visited. A girl who comes every month is likely to get 7 days, someone who comes once or twice a year will likely get 14/21/30 days. They don't want to 'encourage" girls to regularly come here. (Great policy - more variety for me   )
- Do you "look" the part. One or two lb's that I know from BKK travel in business suits, carrying laptop computer, etc....21/30 days each time from their experience
- Is there a crackdown in Spore. Spore tolerates prostitution, but does not want to let it get totally out of control. When the big IOC meeting was on last October(?), big crackdown. Very few girls got visas, or 7 days only.
- Do you have a Sporean friend. I am a Sporean permanent resident, and as soon as a girl finds that out, they want to pass through immigration with me.....almost guaranteed 30 days if I say they are my friend.
- Hangover/no hangover. And I am sure the mood of the immigration officer has a lot to do with it as well.

OT is NOT the only place you can find lb's in Spore:
- Changi Village. Street scene near the airport.
- Geylang. Lor 16(?) (lor = soi). Various nationalities
- Desker Road near Little India. Bottom end of sleazy I believe (Or should that be sleazy end of bottom?  )
- OT bars (Romeos/Crazy Horse). Non-Sporean lb's, mostly from Thailand. I have met others who say they are from Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia. I have never met a Pi lb IN the bars
- OT outside the bars. Sporean lb's hover around the corridors and escalators between the bars, and outside on Orchard Road
- Clarke Quay and Boat Quay and other general bar areas. I have heard that some of the Pi lbs that visit just go out in the main bar areas of Spore (but I have less evidence of this)

The departing and banning issue is one I just don't understand here. Romeo's is a dedicated lb bar, so if they want to deport and ban lbs (or gg's for that matter), then why does OT exist at all? Geylang is an official red light area, OT is not.

Again, I think this is just the Sporean pragmatic approach to life ie tolerate it and control it is better than it going underground. So, regular raids happen and girls get deported.

Either that or it is a very smart policy of deporting and banning so that we have a continuous fresh supply of talent, rather than the same girls over and over again    Damn, these Sporeans are smart

My informal "observations" on this. Depends which bar, and there are some "informal" mamasans as well.

So, for Romeos and Crazy Horse, the girls have to pay to work there. They also have the lady drink system ie they will get SGD 5 per drink you buy them. No barfine though.

The girls in Romeos must stay in that bar only, so they are sort of "employed" by the bar. Not sure if this is exactly the same for CH.

In CH, you DO find Sporean lb's, but only usually the same 3 or 4, so I have no idea how this works. Maybe they pay the bar something as well.

Most of the Sporean lb's prowl the spaces and escalators between the bars. Sometimes you see some non-Sporean lbs doing this, but not very often.

In the other bars (most of them anyway), it looks much more like a freelancers system. The 2 main bars are Country Bar and Ipanema, both up the first escalator from Orchard Road entrance. The girls wander freely between the 2 bars, no lady drinks system, no barfines.

I know of a couple of more 'senior' ladies who act as informal mamasans ie they will organise for a girl to come to Spore, organise flight, hotel/apartment, etc. These mamasans do not work for the bars, just freelance mamasans for girls who have not been to Spore before and are a little scared.

There are then the 2 or 3 dedicated Filipina bars in the basement at the back. No idea of the 'mafia' system there. There are another couple of Pi-only areas as well in town.

Yes, I am not quite so sure about this. Difficult to get a straight answer for obvious reasons. But more than 1 girl has told me this. Not sure if they are paying the bar, or some kind of informal mamasan.
