How often do you go to the LOS

Often have discussions about the readership here and was wondering how often we get to the Land of Plenty!!

Based in UK I will make at least 4 trips this year, and am planning on moving in the next 3 years.

Next trip for easter!!

I live here (Bkk), and while that may sound great to some, I can assure you its not without it's flaws. I go absolutely crazy on the lb scene, fucking everything left and right. The down side? Now my savings account is officially at 2,100 baht. And I therefore cannot fuel my lb addiction (and yes I do mean addiction in the truest sense) for quite some time. I can't even pay my rent this month.

Maybe we can have a sponsorship fund for Surropan - many guys feel better with an experienced 'escort/guide' at hand to show them the ropes. By the sound of things this is your man and available for a couple of beers and a quick short time with someone.

Luckily I live here and work here but as Surropan says, its not the bed of roses its made out to be but I cant think of anywhere better at the moment.

better, surropan better use his last savings to buy a wig and make-up, and start cruise sukhumvit between soi 3 and soi 25.

i usually travel to los 2-4 times a year. each trip vary between 1 to 6 months.

Holidaying in 2 or 3 times a Year is certainlly different from actually working there

Better question is, how do the frequent visitors get to go so often and/or for so long. I get about 7 days off work per year.

If you are seriously down to 2,100 Baht and are struggling to make your rent then you must be insane thinking of even poking your head around the corner of Nana Plaza!

I've been in that situation years ago and at that time I dreaded going to the tourist areas and would ONLY show up if someone else was buying.

It's a funny thing... Now that I am better able to enjoy a beer, I have almost entirely quit drinking!

Thank heavens those days are behind me - both the drinking and the inablity to pay for it!

Thats why my time in   2 or 3 times a year is my sanctuary and I live for those times

I stay 58 days at a time spread over 2 trips usually. Being visiting since 1978. For me it is a great holiday destination and i also do business most times i am here.

I have absolutely no quams in slamming a person who is so foolish that he has squandered his money to the point that he is one step away from the "dole." Added to this is the fact that he seems to relish being so cool and foolish at the same time by posting, dare I even say bragging about his situation. I think he has the reality lesson. I know I've had times when I was down on my luck and it's not fun.

Mardi has a good idea. I'm sure there are guys who have never been to thailand who would greatly benefit from having a drinking bud who knows the lb scene.

LOL thanks for all your concern fellas. I'll be fine though, I have income coming in that's enough to take care of my basic needs. Savings is gone but that was just my play money, I won't be out on the streets anytime soon. Only can't pay my rent this month because my income and rent dates are offset. My landlord is cool though. Plus I'm already working on getting a second source of income to support my 'hobby.'
