But if I had a wife that's what i would do...But I don't...I lost her.  

Well actually I didn't lose her...I know where she is...She just isn't my wife any more.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. My friend's shop does sponsor a softball team, so we're looking for any tournaments in or around LOS that we can use as an excuse. The collectable car deal sounds like a possibility, too. Good ideas !

Why not just bring her along? When she goes for that 4 hours or day long spa treatment you have kindly treated her too, you and your mate go off for some of your own fun.

Some people may flame at that, but it is poss to do it that way, without any damage or suspicion.

After all if you come up with this exotic excuse and she asks to come, what are you going to say? You'll just get deeper and deeper.......

If nothing has been said about the location, just say your are going to another place in your own country. Call back every day if he wants at the "calculated" righte time to report whatever.
If he is into ladyboy why is he married to begin with? I hope there is no kids involved - get the hell out of it as soon as possible. He made a mistake! correct it! prolong it makes no difference.
Taking a simple trip to Thailand requires "excuse"? not my kind of "living"...

My friend is not into the ladyboy scene - he just wants to party and maybe monger with some "regular" girls. We thought about saying we were going to Hawaii or Singapore, etc., but it would be hard to explain different or missing passport stamps if his wife were to get too nosey.

A friend of mine told his wife he was going to Singapore for work. He got a return flght to Singapore and got one of the cheap flights with Air Asia to Bangkok.

He went through customs/immigration and got stamped of course he got stamped when left which was the same day so not ideal. Then again coming back.
