I have been living in Cebu for about 2 and a half years with my LB "wife".
I would not say that it is always the case that LBs here are shunned as ladyboyadmirer suggests. There are so many gays and LBs here that they are just part of everyday life. Some gain great respect within their families and society.
Of course my wife had hard times at 1st, but she behaved well and is now the favorite "daughter", CEO of 2 companies and an entertainer/singer much in demand.

These people exist Stewart, our design engineer is one of them, he says he doesn't pay for it, in hard cash terms no, but his expenditure on wining dining & maybe ( Not garanteed ) 69'ing is herrendous. But normally they are so vain they conned by the mass of complements poured on them & don't realise its all part of the same scam!
