.....well after reading "Private Dancer".....it does a good job of showing the difference between "western standards" and "LOS standards"............very difficult to try to combine and come up with a "compromise standard". I'm hearing a lot of western standards being applied to the Thai, P4P LB standards. As indivduals(western farangs), if that makes us feel comfortable and "loyal" to our male friends then that is fine, but I get a feeling that the P4P LB is operating from a different mind-set....we may have guilt feelings, they may not.       I think that means he liked her and didn't want his friends pawing at her....most normal guys would think this way......  yes, the girls work for money, it is their JOB to come on to us and make money for having sex, I do realize that.  But with punters we don't know and have to hear about, you know?  I believe it's the 'friends' responsibility to say "no thanks, I will take one of the other 99 girls here because you are {X's}  favorite".

To be honest I can't be bothered worrying to much about a members feelings about a prostitute! There is only one girl working at Nana that I would avoid (and she would avoid me for the same reasons, probably) and that's Kai.

I tend to drift in and out of crushes every few weeks and my fave one day won't be the same the next day. So it would be an act of selfish arrogance to be upset if someone I knew was shagging a girl that I liked at the time.

    and then you went to Pattaya and saw  Lisa; even if she WAS your type  you would find another one out of respect for MonkeyMan.  I could be wrong, I just think that is what would happen because you would not want to potentially hurt your friend.

I am just using MM as an example because you and Oz both know him, of course this rule [at least in my mind and some others, apparently, some of whom don't want to add in their 2 cents' worth here] applies to any guys who share beers and good times together; it just seems common sensical to me for the guy to not screw his friends favorite girl and then tell him all about it.

I agree. If they are obviously an item then I would stay well clear. That would be like cheating. But I'll not juggle my nuts if it's just a fucking arrangement.

And I still don't care if my mates stretch Cindys ass because that's what she's good at and they'd more foolish NOT to give her a go.

I'd be a bit upset if I was with her (or any girl, actually) in a bar and a friend was making a play for her but I don't have any friends that would do that anyway so it's really a moot point.

I HAVE been in a bar (or a situation) where a girl is with a friend and she has made obvious signs to me. It's embarrasing and I lose respect for the girl.

he hee..... this happened to me recently in Nana [ and you were there]; some girl who is kinda famous here was with her boyfriend and yet was rubbing her high heels on my calf and winking at me, etc......weird.   not my type at all and from what I understand she flirts with guys on a nightly basis like this so it's expected, but not from me; I lost all respect for her and feel bad for the friend also if that's the way his girl acts in public, as you say it's embarassing [for both parties I believe].

 Hey, I finally got the answer I was looking for!!  so if a friend knows that another friend has a favorite girl and has seen them together 20 times or more, if he was a good guy and had respect he would leave the girl alone and find another.  Common sense wins out again!!
