But l can't understand how come l go into a bar and take one long time for 1,500 baht no problem. The next night a guy l know ( nice guy, not old or fat ) who goes in the same bar and talks to her about long time ( based on my recommendation ) and finishes up getting a price of 4,000 baht which he managed to haggle down to 3,000.

Simple really - if I go asking about a product, then the owner of that product smells that I want it and puts the price up. Happens every time if YOU call a girl before you get somewhere. YOU have stated that there is something that YOU want, so any seller is going to put the price up.

A quick case of two similar but different scenarios.

One, chap who is quite young and good looking, nicely dressed sits in L/b bar, calls one over and says " l have 1,000 baht and l want to fuck you twice, is this ok ? " and proceeds to take out the cash and wave it at her.

Two, chap who is same age and again good looking goes into same bar, sits down and orders ( in Thai ) a drink and talks to waitress. Beckons over a l/b and asks her name, introduces himself, asks how she is, tells her she is very pretty ( all in Thai ) and asks her if she would like a drink and she can have a beer if she wants. Makes small talk, tells her she is pretty and has nice hair/shoes/dress/smile/legs she is one of the nicest l/b in the whole of Bangkok. Then explains that he would like to take her back to hotel for a couple of hours and he would like to pay her 1,000 baht.

Question. . . . .

They are both offering the same deal but which one will she choose ?

l don't know you guys but l would dare to suggest that like most guys l have seen that you will fall somewhere between the two scenarios, but on occasions l have seen some very close to number one, me l am the second option.

l think the earlier post by Donnnnnny is very close to the mark.

It's that simple. The smart ones are the ones that are able to figure this out by judging scenarios like the two you raised above without pushing for too much money so that you walk away or leaving too much on the table.

Whether you are brad pitt or jon madden, if they believe you will pay 4,000 baht, then that's what they will ask. If they believe you will pay 1,000 baht, then they will accept it if they feel they have no other tangible near term options ...

l believe they will all have a "Shelf life" and have to make what they can, while they can, but if the attitude is as you say then l think l will stay well away.

l land in Bangkok on 31st December and have New Year with Thai Girl Friend but she has to work on 1st and 2nd, then we fly down to Phuket.

wouldn't want to meet Areeya on the sly and then have her recognise me walking with girl friend down Soi Bangala, or coming out of Rio's so l will stay away.

Hopefully l can get some hot L/b action on the 1st and 2nd January through the day.

I might give her a call when I get to BKK this weekend.

Also do people have to pay extra for pictures or do you just ask and they either say yes or no.
