Several factors are at play here.  One of them is that the prices reflect the ever increasing amount of one or two week vacationers with no real interest in the local culture, prices, standards of behavior.  They fly in, and pay the first price asked because it is still cheaper than what they pay at home.  This of course ruins it for local residents.  The first example was the influx of Japanese and Taiwanese sex tourists that started coming during the 90's.  The farangs were a bit cheaper but they influence the industry as well.  Then the internet sort of made the stars globalized.  At the same time the Thais and Philippino hookers started to surf the net too.  They thought if those ugly white TS and GG get big money then why not me?  So everyone forgot that there was a local culture and local prices.  In the not so old days, farangs could learn a little Thai, hang out, and pay a little more than the locals and everything was ok.  Now some horny guy hits Thailand with a wad of cash and crams 3000 baht into the purse of some internet "superstar".  It doesn't matter that she is paying 5000 or less for her apartment and she eats cheap.  But this is a business so the laws of supply and demand will eventually rule.  My impression is that a bar full of 30-40 ladyboys has 6 customers on average.  Many of these ladyboys are not getting taken out of the bar, especially when a customer has to fork over 100 baht for a beer, pay the bar 600 baht etc. before he ever gets down to business with his sex object.  And it doesn't take long to learn that the same girls or tgirls will be walking out at 1am and will jump into a taxi with the punter for as low as 500 baht.  It is no accident that my email is full of "love letters" from Tgirls who are feeling the pinch and asking for loans to make their rent.

Gotta agree. The "superstars" are made by sites like this one. Girls get a few pictures on the Internet, and then the ask you right up front in the bar whether you've seen them. I always say no, because I figure yes adds to the bill.

Anyway, there are always prettier new girls in every bar; the 'superstars' are neither the prettiest, nor the best in bed. Better to just hit the bars and choose what looks good that night (like a buffet).

In my experience, each of the Nana LB bars is different. My favorite is Obsession because there is more choice, and friendlier. Casanova lacks foreplay; a pack of LBs great you at the door and right away say 'make up your mind' ... if you don't, they all leave. Temptations is laid back, nice girls, but not as much choice (though there is one there now, Sally I think is her name, who is a knockout... she's been in Taiwan, and is going to Japan, and looks pretty upscale, but in BKK charges Walmart prices). And Cascades is the most fun. There are a few superstars -- Nueng and Noon, both very nice; and the incomparable Lichy, who rules the bar like a triad pimp (who knows what she did in Laos before the transformation). But I still think that even with some of the prices quoted on some of the trip reports, the prices for LBs in Nana is fantastic.

Let's face it the GGs cost more and are crap shags compared to a hot and horny ladyboy.

I suppose the propensity for a younger retirement age compared to other career choices compels their desire to "make as much as possible" and to milk it for what its worth till age slows them down.

so,say we go for MAY at £355 LT ,thats ontop of my flight....say £500 return average now, some taxi fares, food ,some beer money ,mayby a couple of massage,oh..and hotel cost.and some extras for mayby cinema mayby some light shopping etc.and throw in a few(mayby 3 or 4 ST with some other "cheapies" bar girl or lb.......you wont get much change out of say £1500 mayby £2000 and all for just one week in bangkok and a handfull of p4p girls....................is that worth it? not for me im afraid..........what say you guys?

This is a 2 year old thread - but back to the OP - May had a website that advertised high prices - as mentioned 5000 Baht ST and 20000 Baht LT.

At the time she was getting out of regular p4p, and moving into webcam and select customers. She could afford to do so having saved up $$$$ from her time of working the bars.

So she is clearly not after the regular punter who goes to the bars, but those high end clients who do not want to be seen in the seedy areas of LOS.

Anyway, who is to say she is greedy if these are the kinds of clients she is catering to? Of course the regular punter would never pay those prices, but some of these high end clients are rolling in the dough.

In LOS there are all levels of service you can obtain from the 500 Baht freelance short time to the 5000 Baht special order in short time. It's up to you which service you want!

Also it appears May does have some favorites who can get discounts!

By the way if it is an escort service that is advertising the lady, generally the service will get 50-60% of the fee.

As far as I know, May never worked in a bar, at least not any more than perhaps a very short time to try it out. She did work in the disco that is/was in the Nana Hotel, Angel Disco, but even that was a place for freelancers I think. Only time I ever went in there, she took me. Basically, May was only a freelancer until starting web cam, which she started doing back in 2002.
