  • The walk of shame

Dissaproving looks, glances, does this bother any members? It's become part of the frill for me

  • #2
Honestly? I haven't ever been in the situation that you speak of, but I don't think it would really bother me at all...

Thailand has a unique way of making you cast away any self consciousness. No one is looking at you with any suspect intent, and no-one is waiting in line to take the piss or make you feel daft...

The 'walk of shame' is as much of a talking point for the doormen over a beer chang as it is for us guys in the room with a bottle of Beaujolais!

    "I reckon he's a first timer!"
"That's about 20 times this week young Noi has scored with a German!"

    Yawn! It's just business...

If anyone is worried about any adverse reaction from Thai hotel staff then don't be. Walk with your head held high. They see it every single day several hundred times. You ain't that special in their eyes!

Thai's seem easygoing & tolerant on the whole - maybe it's a Buddhist trait. It's the farang moral - "I am superior to you" - squad i'm talking about. Those who place themselves on the moral highground, are often the one's who are the biggest hypocrites!

Be humble, do what you want, do it proudly with full heart. Then: nothing to be shamed about, and nothing to loose. Respect humans and enjoy yourself. Behave.

If I am honest I still feel a bit self conscious when walking around with a non passable LB. Maybe its because of the farang but I dont know know. Something deep in my pshyche I guess. Its the truth though.

            BB,

If you have a little shame walking with her....think how she must feel walking with you.... just kidding man...When I ask the girls about you they always say "He's a hansum man, and so big". Hope to see you again one of these days, let me know when your in town.
