Thanks for this SB, I'd be very interested in your findings !! I regularly call some lb friends and it costs me 15p/min to a mobile on 18866.com.

It all adds up so 4p to a mobile would be heaven !!

I was on the phone for 15 minutes with Gif and it worked perfectly. They route the call through computers but it's still very good quality!

..i hate to sound like a real ignoramise here, but exactly what currency are we talking about; not 'pounds' i hope, because that would b way too much per minute to call Thailand (at least for U.S. rates)... 'p'?

Well if he's calling from the UK then p stands for Pence.

100 Pence = 1 Pound = $1.91USD

$1.91USD / 100 = 1.9 x 4 = 7.6 cents a minute

I think it works out to about 7 cents (US) for each minute.

Ops yeah forgot it's 4 pence per minute so it's 1.9 x 4 = 7.6 cents a minute.

... oohhh yeah, i 4got the 'pence' denomination, it's been so long since I've heard that mentioned i kinda 4got about it.. ok, that would b a very good rate then i guess compared to your landline rates..

..the overseas rate for my location to Thailand using SPRINT is .25 per minute which would be $1us for every 4 mins!

If you make a call from mobile2mobile in UK it's about 25-30p. a min. What?that is about 1$ for 2-3min.

On Orange its 70p a minute on my contract

Sometimes I gotta phone the g/f straight back when she calls me without using the post office card ( 8p a minute )

For those in the UK you can call mobiles in Thailand for 2p per min and landlines for 1p per min.

The numbers for connection are:

Landline: 0844 861 6060

Mobile: 0844 462 1919

Then just dial 0066 + the number

This needs to be done from a landline.
