Only way I got here was to use the old
http://www.asian-ts.com/cgi-bin/board/ikonboard.cgi which redirected me automagically.
The new http://asiantsgirls.com/cgi-bin/board/ikonboard.cgi is still "dead". Give it a few more hours to update I expect.

Update: and hour later and asiantsgirls.com is working here too.

Yes we're only at the 24 hour mark since the domain repoint. It takes a total of 48 hours to go worldwide.

The domain with www and without are treated by the DNS servers as two different domains. So you may find the version with the www will connect as the one without www will not. But eventually once the propagating comes to an end everyone everywhere becomes updated.

Also try rebooting your PC this will clear its own DNS cache.

Can ANYONE tell me why topic tracking does'nt send me emails anymore?& also it says administrator has disabled the member rating system option for me.Why&whats it mean?

Am very pleased to have arrived in BKK a few weeks ago...but was saddened to be denied access to Asian TS...could only get to some scary looking screen with an eyeball at the top and some writing in Thai. Government censors I suppose.

So was very pleased to get in to Asian TS in the past few days...I guess because of this new server arrangement?

Anyway...here's my inquiry. Within hours of my accessing Asian TS, my internet connection ceased (something to do with my DNS being unable to resolve IP addresses). Being a paranoid (and not techno savvy) bastard, I assumed that I had been 'shut down' by the censors...and have spent the last few days wondering whether they can capture my IP address and track me down for being a deviant porn freak.

So found an IP switching program...and got back in. Would be most appreciative if one or our tech-savvy brethren could enlighten regarding the potential for authorities to identify us by our addresses...and track us down

If you are using a dial up internet connection the IP is dynamic and changes each time you log on. The chance of being tracked is almost nil.

However on a broadband connection, DSL or cable the IP is static and you can be traced.

One way you can avoid this is using a proxy. ATS does provide proxy for members to use to avoid tracking or to access in countries that censor/block the site and/or forum. If you want access to the proxy, you can contact SB by direct e-mail.

Another way you can avoid being traced is using a VPN, virtual private network - these are paid subscriptions to access the internet through the VPN, which is a secure connection. Your connection will only show access to the VPN and not what you are surfing while you are connected to it.

There are probably a few other methods that can be used, and I am sure some of the other forum members will explain.
