Regarding payments

there has been a lot of talk about payments to the girls lately and i wanted to  say a few things about it.  It seems that there are many differeng opinions from the ladyboys, the board members and things i have read on other message boards.

   I remember in 1997 when i first started  going to Thailand the  generally agreed-upon price system was 1000 short and 2000 long, and it was like that for several years and everyone was happy.   around the time that the  baht was really devalued in 2000 and went as high as 55 to the US dollar, the girls got smart and realized that they could start asking for and recieving more dough for the same work.  also remember that a good deal of these  girls' customers are Japanese and these guys throw their yen around like so much  monoploy money.   not to offend any of our japanese readers; we love you guys  but your dollar is worth much more than ours and the  japanese have a notoriously bad reputation for overpaying.

 what this brings about is more guys paying more cash to get laid these days.  I wouldn't necessarily say that someone is stupid for paying more than most of us, because perhaps  money just isn't as tight for those guys.  And, remember that many of these  guys  DO just go to Thailand twice a year for 2 weeks; they figure what the hell, i am here and i am going to live it up and  stay at the Marriot and pay 5000B for my girls; they can afford it after all.  But what this does to guys who stay there a lot and visit these girls frequntly is  put it in their minds that we ALL can pay that type of amount, because after all we are all farangs so we all must have dough, right?

   some things I have heard from ladyboys that have disturbed me lately;

  one girl from Obsessions telling me that  the customers from this site don't pay well because they only give her 1500-2000 for short time. that turned me right off.

      another girl from Casanova telling me that one of the members told her that I was suggesting up here that you guys only pay them small money; I have never said anyting like that.

    The other one, who basically started that whole thread about payments,  who told me that one of the guys from here short-changed her for only 700B for a late-night  delivery.

 Another Casa girl who told me a member gave her 45,000B for one week of companionship.  great for her; bad for us.

      The ladyboy from this site who told me in KC3  one night that the 20,000B per month she was having sent to her monthly from some  guy in the states was "just OK".

          One of the ladyboys who appears here and has a valid e-mail address, and many guys  write to her.  They all report back that she is asking 3000 for short and 4000 for long time.

        Then I read on a ladyboy  message board that i sometimes visit that the guys on that site would never pay more than 500 short and 1000 long;  where are they meeting these girls? because the girls i know wouldn't even french kiss for that amount.  It seems like Pattaya is a cheap haven for getting laid and the prices just quoted  can be found on the beach road.  However, to me  Pattaya will always be the Toledo Mud Hens as compared to Bangkok, which is the New York Yankees.   The girls there just can not compare with the  big city girls, no matter what anyone says. So as much as I would hate to see Tonio and others give up on Bangkok to go to cheaper hunting grounds,  you guys must realize that by going to Pattaya  you are taking a major step down in quality.  Bangkok is still the best city in the world, period. And the number one place in the world to hunt ladyboys,albeit a  bit more expensively.

  OK...finally....my own system of payment to these girls.  I can not preach to either side here because I suppose I would be one of those guys that overpays, at least a little.  Fact is I don't butterfly as much as I used to, at least outside the job LOL.   When I am on the road or  in BKK and I want to screw someone, i just usually call one of my favorites on my fone and have her meet me. Because I really like blonde-haired Oh [brand new gallery coming on November 1 by the way], I will gladly  give her 2000B after we have 2 hours of wild sex.  It may be over-doing it a bit, but i feel like an extra 500 or 1000 isn't too much for me but means a lot to her, and I like her a lot so why not?   I have given Chompoo as much as 3000 [usually 2000] for short  because  we have our own version of the sexual olympics every time she comes over.  To me she earns every cent and I am happy to give it to her because she is so sweet and one of my best friends in the world.  I was with Cherry  from Obs one night and gave her 1200 as she was walking out, and she complained that I paid Chompoo so much better [also realize that these people talk amongst themselves more than anyone]. I said "if you were as good in bed as she is, you would get that much also".  she was  mildly upset but i held my ground.   If I just do a bar pick-up, which is very rarely, I would pay 1500 for  average service and 2000 if it was good.  and again, my long-time price is always the same as my short-time price;  I am not paying a girl an extra 1000B just to sleep in my  air-conditioned room. if she wants to leave, that's fine;  I can stretch out and sleep better. If she wants to stay that's fine also, but not 1 baht more, unless she is making me breakfast and polishing my helmet before I even wake up.

     The old rule still applies up here and this is the ONLY advice I will ever be accused of giving up here; be fair. If a girl was very good with you, pay her accordingly  but don't  screw up the wage scale for the rest of us. On the other hand, don't be a Cheap Charlie; paying the girl a  decent wage makes a whole lot of sense because after all, isn't that what we are all here for?

i also agree that LBS talk amongst themselves what farangs pay... i know it for a fact.. your prices are in line with what i pay.. if i take a LB for a st, i go for 1500bt tops with a good tip if she is worth it.. as for the long time thing, i never go long time because most LBs will want to stay in your nice airconditioned room and hang out with you,,, reguardless if they only agreed to a st.. very few times have been with a LB that wanted to imediately take off after the sex was completed... for each his own, but i never had a big issue about prices over in bkk.. if a LB wants too much money i just move on.. there are a lot more ladyboys in bkk than there are LB lusting farangs like me... rod

Bollocks is an Anglo Saxon derived name for balls/testicles/gonads. As the British comedian Jasper Carrot pointed, out you lot - Americans - have no idea what it means!
Bollocks can be used to mean talking rubbish as in not knowing what you are talking about ie. talking bollocks. It is more usually used as 'Bollocks' - 'go fuck yourself' 'fuck off' etc.  Bullshit in English (English-English as opposed to American-English) is lying to wind someone up as a joke, or to lie to protect youself from retribution.

The Japanese mostly seem to pay Japanese rates even in other countries! They do this in London - I think the rate is about £50 for normal sex. In the 'provinces' (outside London) the rate is about £30-40 depending on the city (my information is not too good so I stand to be corrected on this). The rates in the Uk for sex with a transsexual are about 4-5 times this!!!! I have no idea on the rates in Tokyo. I do know that the Japanese have a special attraction to western girls with blond hair and large breasts. They also like new-halfs (transsexuals) and pay over the top for them.

Jon I know you sometimes take it personaly when the girls make comments about the site members.
I think you should make it as clear to the girls as you do to the site members that you will be honest and help them as best you can - but when it comes to individual deals - they are on their own!

As Jon says - if you want cheap rates go to Pattaya. I've not been there myself but by every account I have seen there are plenty of girls chasing few punters. ie. It's a buyers market. In Bangkok the girls have higher overheads - they rightly charge higher prices! That's the market economy in operation.

Don't let the girls push you around . If the one you pick first does not want to play at a price you are prepared to pay - move on to the next. Believe me the competition even in one bar will let you get away with this. The other alternative is to wait until 2 am and then chose the 'left overs'. You will still have some truely beautiful girls waiting around for customers. It's usually the less pushey ones that are left and generally more laid back in bed

Most of these girls are genuinely decent people who do want to be good to you. They don't want to sell their bodies, but they will treat you as decently as you treat them. Pay them fairly - don't overpay them - it sound's like a good idea at the time but they will then have exectations that they cannot then meet. I probably got some of the more recent posts going with some casual references to prices. Honest, I don't pay 6KB regularly, and I negotiate for the regular prices. But I will 'tip' that much. I really like Jon's take on paying ... pay for service. All girls are not created equal (otherwise why are we at this site). And there is personal chemistry. Every time I have sex, it is different. Sometimes it's great, and whether or not the girl consciously tried to make it good, I'm going to give her extra. What I haven't done is tell those who aren't that they don't get as much because they aren't as good as X (even though they will typically make comparisons to other girls). This is a great idea, Jon (perhaps a little direct, but any girl who brings comparisons to the table deserves to be hurt). I will probably make it policy now. Stogie has it correct I think, and seems to have a lot more experience than most of us, given that he has successfully managed his long-term relationship with Kui. The bar life is volatile, somewhat empty, sometimes mean, perhaps a stop on the way somewhere else, perhaps a trap for girls who find hard to leave. So this adds one more big problem to those of different culture, language, ages and expectations. For short time there is nothing better (and bar girls may like it that way); but even for all night, I'd like someone a bit more complete. Its the same for GGs and LBs. The older GGs in the bar scene cah get especially cynical and manipulative; I've had them try to drink me under the table (at my expense) and drag me into bad areas of town.

The characteristics that make Thailand different from places like the US (and perhaps shared with Moscow, Philippines, etc) is that the society seems to be genuinely gentle, supporting and pleasant. Thus nice girls can end up in the bar scene; out of place, but real gems when you find them. I can for example, picture Som in OB one time when I was there, sitting forlornly in a corner, not quite up to the aggressiveness of OBs LBs. Time in the scene doesn't seem to have hardened her, and I hope it doesn't. There are many gems to be found, but sometimes it's easier if you look outside the bar scene.

yes, that is the better way to go but they are not always available. the situation tha Stogie has with Kui is extremely rare; to find an attractive college student who is not greedy and doesn't want to work in a bar or at least hook on the side is hard to find. I am also lucky that my GF is a student [graduate] and works web cam for a job rather than in a bar, but what she does when I am away from Thailand is anyones guess. at least she is not greedy and when I am there we hang around a lot and it doesn't cost me a fortune.

If they can make 40,000 from him, plus 40,000 more back in the bar, what do you think they are going to do?

yes, stick with the college crowd; it's better. although I heard somewhere that cute little Anna [our new cover girl] is charging 3000B for meetings with guys from this site now; seems a bit excesive to me. Most of them will be happy with less than that, but again, finding girls like Kui and Aon is extremely rare and you must get lucky.
