Every provider has a range of prices which are charged on an opportunity basis. If the client is an idiot, he will always pay top dollar, if the client is smart and negotiates for the service before it is provided, he will pay much less.

So please tell me why should it be different with Ladyboys and why are some people surprised if they are asked for 10,000 baht?

Why should Ladyboys be poor business people and not take full financial advantage of every situation, same as car hire companies, hotels, lawyers, you name it.

In fact, Ladyboys are far more deserving of your cash, so give freely, you will get a big reward and be loved long time forever. Better than air miles and loyalty cards anytime.

I think you're a little off base here. In every situation you have described, the business essentially rips off the customer. There's a huge difference between taking advantage of someone and making an honest buck.

A business that gouges its customer every chance it gets, as in the examples you have described, will not find itself in business for very long. If I were a customer in any one of those situations, I would feel that the business has betrayed my trust and not patronize that business again. I'd tell my friends, my family, co-workers, and anyone else I met not to patronize that business as well. However, if the business had treated me well I'd happily support it in the future and tell all my friends about my experience. Now which scenario do you think is better for the business in the long run?

Additionally, I'll add that unlike a car, airplane ticket, or fancy dinner - the quality of service provided by a ladyboy does not often correlate to the amount spent.

500 baht a day? That sounds awful generous for a farmer! That's almost 15k baht/month! I'm guessing that many, if not most, will make far less than that princely sum.

I agree though, let some of these LBs go work a week's worth of hard labor in the rice fields and get paid peanuts. That'll make em appreciate what they've got!

You have massively over-estimated these figures. Minimum wages are in the 130-180 Baht per day range in Thailand. Agricultural workers are amongst the lowest paid and as a lot of them work 'unofficially' on family small holdings the money can be less.

When the GGs and LBs come to Bangkok it's no wonder they want a slice of the action once they learn the ropes.

If they are asking too much there's plenty more to choose from.

Thank you for hear from you eveybody and in my rate if standart cause i have to cheak my HIV every 3 month and i have screening test for show you if you want and i will work by daytime in citibank too so if i go by 1500 baht you know everybody have to make up and hair set so we have to pay for salon 300 baht perday in bangkok taxi 2 way insuld highway almost 4-500 baht so please understand how much lady have to pay food , room , phone , and family that we have to pay so 300-500 bt in pattaya she work all day so she got many customer and not cheak HIV from someone so if sme who intesrsted me on my rate i welcm and take good care so don't to gossip me it my working and not only me in this rate ! i'm glad with you that you understand Janabiyah
