Good info on Odet TopDog. This is why I'm so glad that forums like this one exist, to warn others of potential pitfalls. To be honest, I've heard two other bad stories about Odet but haven't said much because they haven't posted their own experiences on the board and I don't feel qualified telling a "So and so told me this" story.

What truly amazes me is that she didn't come banging on your day 5 minutes later for the 2,000 baht!

The barfine thing is a source for many arguments/discussions. When i took Sa to hua hin for a week I paid the barfine for 7 days (4200bt). The other days i would pay only if i had been into her bar that evening. If you don't go in then they are free to go with whoever after the bar closes (now 2am in Nana), and she would come to my room after work.

As has been stated before, the barfine period runs from 6pm to 2am - working hours, so a barfine was not due as she would have got to work in time.

very similar experience with Odet, definitely on a diva/superstar trip, imho, went S/T with her from bar, in May, gave 2k baht, she asked for tip, uhm no, not received well at all, and on top of all, not quite what i expected in the b/r at all, mediocre performance at best

In Bangkok, as in life, there's going to be lots of situations where it's easy to allow small amounts of money to disturb our piece of mind.

On first trip to Pattaya, a guy who i met at the hotel told me the standard shortime price was 500. That was working for me well and then I pulled a girl from the Classroom gogo. We had a great time I give her 600 and she starts giving me shit how I should give her 1000. I refused she slamed the door and u had 2 pissed off people. I found out afterward thatthe going rate in "gogos" is more than in beer bars.

And i've had some otherprice disgreements too. Nothing major but they were all over relatively small amounts of money. In the heat of the moment we go into caveman mode to protect our interests.

But the trick is to achieve a win-win. In the Odet situation is was clearly a lose-lose. She got zippo and you had an upsetting experience on your vacation.

The first thing is to never argue. Smile, talk and discuss. Keep smiling. Perhaps I'd tell her I'll give you 600 as tip because I like you but no tell other girls. If you keep smiling and make a joke of it you may not mind forking over the extra 600 or she may not mind forgetting about the 600, afterall she walked away with nothing.

But I do let money stuff upset me and my resolution for my upcoming trip is not to let any money stuff upset my peace of mind.

There was another rule I heard from guys who regular p4p. That is never see the same girl twice. It prevents you becoming 'loved up' and taken for a ride. Sex often goes down hill, its never the same, unlikey they will hit the same highs as the worked hard to impress. Or they take you for granted, lose respect for you or you both get bored of each other. The only way things may improve is if you keep giving a bigger tip!

Interesting theory but not my strategy at all. I have a small number of regulars who all know about each other and have for the most part met each other despite working in different bars as I often flit around with the same girls into each others bars. I tend to favour those regulars for the simple reason they tend to work harder - i.e they want me to continue bar fining them from that bar and not take a new one. Given they all know about the others, they are well aware of my butterfly status, infact thats normally what ones calls me when she sms's me. "hey Butterfly, when u come Bkk, Pattaya whatever?" That does not stop me going with someone new, but its rare for me - I tend to stick with who I know and how they deliver. Just last week I was sat in Casanova with 3 LB's who were all talking about me and they were getting along great including the one I had brought up from Obsession. I tend to send an sms to them all in advance and they are cool - perhaps if I turned up unannounced,they might not be so cool with it, but I try and cover all the bases to avoid problems without restricting where I go and with whom.

I get piece of mind that I know what I am getting, the LB knows what she is getting and nothing has ever been knicked from any of these regulars. I'd go so far as to say, they actually look out for you far more - perhaps because I treat them well and often end up going to a regular venue for drink or food tends to make them warm to you. The price for me incidentally is always the same, 2000 baht LT and often thats running through until I kick em out or when they have to go home to get some new clothes for going back to work.

By the way I often sms them in advance and tell them to pay their BF when they get to the bar - i'll be along at some unconfirmed time, but also means you dont get sloppy seconds. Works for me everytime !!!

Difference of course, is that I live in Thailand so they see the repeat business but I am not a high payer by BKK standards.

Good points Mardhi. I'm glad that you brought up the point you live in BKK (we'll have to get you out sometime when I'm there haha) - which I think can work to your favor in a great way. As an infrequent visitor, the girls have less of an incentive to develop a relationship with you in the sense that they want to keep you as a regular. If you come once or twice a year, what's the point right?

I'm also with Mardhi about taking girls again and again. For me, it's always been a winning proposition because I know the service is great, the price is pretty much set, and I can guarantee a good time will be had by all. In fact, I've found that over a long period of time seeing the same person can actually lead to an improvement in and out of the bedroom and the fact that the money issue is far less prevalent.

Everyone is more comfortable the second time. And you'll never take a girl the second time if things didn't go well the first time.

But guys on their first trip maybe coming off a long relationship with a farang woman feel like kids in a candy store and want as many different ones as possible.

And I think DP is right, the money is less of an issue if spending lots of time with one girl. She's happy to have hooked a regular and the farang views as more of a friendship thing rather than business thing making money less relevant on his end.

My price experience is like Mardhi's, most BKK girls are good to go for 1000st and 2000 lt.
