I am in the process of packing for my trip next week to the LOS, and thought I ought to take the time to express my thanks to the many board members who took the time and trouble to respond to an unknown person's questions regarding information to plan his trip.
To try to get good info for this years trip to Pattaya, I joined this board and several similar (which focus mainly on the GG side of Pattaya). Far and away, this board's members have been the most helpful and friendly of any of the boards. In additon, there seems to be much less infighting over basically pointless matters (which affects the other boards in varying degress). This board also seems to treat questions in a respectful manner.
To give you an example: I asked for information on this board opinions about the Pattaya Marriott, and got back some good informaion. On another board, I got my ass chewed by one gentleman because I was not staying in a sufficiently "Thai" hotel, and why would I want to stay in a "Western hotel if I were traveling to Thailand." I wanted to tell him to fuck off, and that since this was my first vacation in a year of 60 hour weeks, I wanted a bit of luxury.
Anyway once again my thanks to this board. Thanks to you I now know about several new establishments to try on this visit such as Stringfellows, and the new bar on Soi 6.
I will be in Pattaya June 23rd - July 2nd (staying at the Marriott), and I would be more than pleased to buy any board members a drink if they are in town.
