well thats what im trying to say that ladyboys has a tendency to be smart if not smart creative artistic and talented...the only thing is the confidence to voice out thier opinions and speak through what they know and what they beleive....the confidence to talk to people......im not talking about intellegence based on what they know and what they are capable of doing.....its about confidence the willing to fight.....to talk to shout out loud......even people who are less educated and has language barrier is consider smart as long as she is tough and know how to talk thing based on what they know.......very vocal and very opinionated person is what i mean by intellegence....and smart....and its about a ladyboys who knows how to speak.....infront of you....how intemidating is it????or its ok with you

Thais and philipinos are just as smart as anyone if there educated correctly. Rote learning as is commonley practased in the east is a poor substitute for the learning processes of the west.We are encoraged to argue the points being desgussed not sit there and stair at the techer in agreement. Teachers in the east have huge cult status and are rarely challenged on a point by a student.
Mind you having said that most graduates coming out of universities these days can barely tie there shoe laces.

I agree with that. Intelligence is not what we should be dusicussing. I've known so-called intelligent people who could barely use a knife and fork!

Minerva: I am looking for someone that is challenging and intelligent. It is nothing to be afraid of and this person can prolong a relationship and yes, be a good drinking buddie. But intelligence isnt everything. More important is how you use the intelligence and also have some ethics so that you can be trusted by your companion. I came to the Philippines the first time to meet a famous person on this board and she was intelligent, hot and good company. But she was also a dominating bitch, an egocentric diva(in her own mind and others too)and a golddigger. So the big picture is important. Read my post again. Yes, indirectly I am linking intlligence to language ability. My point was that the ability to speak other languages allows you to communicate and learn from a wider pool of knowledge.

That has to translate into something - is that intelligence in terms of pure IQ, or is it something about being just more worldly wise? Don't know, I'm not an expert on how you define intelligence. (Also see Ziggy's comment about it being something to do with ability to interact)

I have also heard it said very recently on this forum that WE are a highly sophisticated, intelligent bunch of people compared to people on other forums. Why? Same same - something about being more open minded, worldly wise, or something?

What about girls that do webcam? They sell sex for money, only through a different channel. Some will do that because they don't want the physical part of prostitution, others because there is no bar scene where they live.

I am particularly thinking about the Pi girls in Cebu here, where I have been 5 times and met various girls who do the webcam thing, and others who just do the beauty pageant thing. These have been some of the most interesting (intelligent?) conversations I have had in my travels.

You make the rules, Stogie, and I will abide by them, however, Snejana very often posts topics that are designed purely to provoke a reaction, no matter how much others may be insulted by them, based on how SHE perceives things and that is exactly what I did.

Once again my message to Snejana is, if you can't take it, don't give it !!!

My perception is that Snejana's rantings are a product of her jealousy brought about by the comparison of her lot in life with that of westerners and the overwhelming preference on this forum for Thai ladyboys over those in the Philippines.

I have lived for very long periods in both the Philippines and Thailand and have fully immersed myself in local life and culture in both countries. The Thais accept the hand that life has dealt them and get on with living and trying to better themselves whereas the Filipinos are always looking for someone else to blame for their plight. Snejana's digs and snipes at the Thais and westerners are thinly veiled under topics covering such matters as "Ladyboy Intelligence" and "Are you a good customer?".

I agree with a previous poster that the ability to communicate effectively in the English language should not be construed as "being intelligent" ............. conversely  ....... just look at Donnnnnny's posts ...... He raises some good points with sound reason and logic but he can't spell for shit !!! (and he knows it too! ..... apologies Donnnnnnny). It must be remembered that the Philippines has something like the third largest English-speaking population on earth (please correct me if I am wrong) so the language capability cannot be used to measure intelligence.

I don't think Snejana hates men, the problem lies in her frustration at not being able to get what she wants in life, thereby leading to veiled criticism of those from whom she tries to seek acceptance.

This is surely not the place for some hobby shrinks to do some online diagnosis on Minnies preferences. I find her opinions more than refreshing. She's very controversial and that's good so. Of course it provokes reactions, but she'll take them, I'm very confident about that as long they are not offending. But also bear in mind that she's quite young, maybe half the age of some posters here. That she might not have had the broad experiences - but I'm sure some tough ones in depth. It's an enrichment for this site to have at least ONE transsexual person who is able to articulate her views and interested enough in our opinions to do so
Referring to any transgendered person as "he" is not only extremely insulting it also shows that this person has absolutely zero understanding of what we're talking about here and that he's for sure in the wrong forum!
