On this forum we have spoken about how LBs are treated by men, discrimination they face etc.

What I would like to know, is how do GGs act towards them. I am talking about non escorts and prostitutes. GGs can tell straight away a LB, I would imagine. So do they see LBs as 'wannabee women'? Or sneer or laugh at them because they are not coke, ie 'the real thing' because they cant do what GGs can: have children? When in toilets or changing rooms, do they push past them because they are GGs and not 'fake?'

Supreme indifference I would say. The only people 'ladyboy spotting' are ladyboys and farangs! There are ladyboys in most walks of life these days and it's not something that raises eyebrows anymore. I see them every single day in travel agents (the one on Soi 39 has TWO working there), on the BTS and at the mall.

The idea of a Thai girl 'pushing past' anyone or openly sneeing at someone is ludicrous!

A good question.

I cannot really answer for sure -  it's really a question for a transsexual.

A couple of things I have noticed though:-

While many hetrosexual men seem to perceive homosexuals a a sort of 'threat'  -  from what I have seen this does not seem to be the case with gg's and transsexuals  -  or at least not in Thailand.

Most Thai women seem to treat the ladyboys with the same respect they treat other women.  In fact I would say that the class structure  -  which still exists in Thailand  -  is probably a greater source of discrimination than gender differences.

some of them get insecure with the LB cause of some outrageous beauty most of LB' possesed but mostly i seen a lot of GG loves to hang out with LB and join in the society or even let them join some social gatherings cause for them its one of the girls and mostly LB would always start the talk and laughter which why some GG's love to be with them anywhere

100% true! I haven't seen any particular discrimination from Thai women against LB's that differs from Thai men. First of all, Thais don't care easily anyway! If there's a LB on the street, on the sky train, in a shop would definitely not be something that raises any eybrow. But if you go with your LB of choice to any kind of Thai uper-class event, believe me that would be the offense of the century - no matter how beautiful she is! They might not show openly, but you would definitely not be invited again! But that's as you mentioned before a class thing and that would be also anywhere in the world the same.
Imagine bringing your (farang) TS gf to your country club, upper-east side cocktail party, rotary event.....
Well, I guess you can't have it all.....

In all my globe trotting the largest descrimination I have seen is in the west & from western people & largely western women when they are in countrys with large 3rd gender populations. The LOS, Brazil, Argentina etc.

When i walk about with a TS / LB all the staring & sneering & comments are normally from the tourist horde & pack packers . These are pretty narrow minded people bordering on morons, the whole 3rd gender thing is too threatening to them, so lets hurl abuse at it.

You only have to sit & watch on Soi Katoey in Phuket & walk around where the back packers hang out in Chiang Mai to the rank & file of these morons. Of course you always get that expert who's been to the LOS on 2 package tours & is an instant expert on LB's who finds it necessary to tell you that great secret, "Hey mate thats a bloke your sat with"..... NO SHIT SHERLOCK !! I spent more time queuing at the imigration desk at Bangkok Airport than they have actually spent inside the country.

The real discrimination is from the west rarely have I seen it from within the country of origin.

You are joking, aren't you? It is more likely an admiration of the efforts that the LB has made to look "real" and an appreciation of their success.

I am a product of the 1960's revolution and I am a retired paramedic with a fire department. Discrimination whether by race, sex or any other reason has always pissed me off. I saw a beautiful 20 y/o girl shoot herself in the head when she couldn't live with her girlfriend because of the US military in the 80's. Six years ago I coached a lesbian softball team and I can tell you they where hard on the transexuals. Life is just toooo dam short to keep this ignorance going. I am a white male and I have been married for over 25 years yet I keep my mind open and truly appreciate everyone - I don't judge - did I mention that I am balding, my waist line is growing - I know how this affects others decision, but I am coming to Thailand next week, I am going to have fun and I will respect everyone I meet!!!!!

I agree. I'd sooner shag a post op than a starfish, oops I mean real girl! Genetic girls are a consistant let down in the sack. Some look cute and you get tricked into wanting to fuck them , but GGs don't have sexual instinct and are as dead as corpses to fuck.

honey outrageous in the sense that the combination of male beauty and female beauty gives it more spice and gives most LB a character look.....it doesnt mean that its more than perfect femenine beauty.......ladyboys are loud and thats what makes them ladyboys and it doesnt define them as real girls.....if you go to the clubs or disco bar and suddenly you saw a bunch of girls and theres one ladyboys of course you will always notice the ladyboys cause of its outrageous beauty which is far more from femenine its so goddess

For what I have seen...GGs who are in the business are often against LBs as they see them as competitors and just one less chance to get barfined or hook up with the usual farang walking in front of the Landmark - period.

Other GGs..mixed bag I would say. I have seen some being friendly with LBS. I remember in the "ex" WTC having seen a LB meeting 2 GGs and proudly showing them the newly made breasts. The two GGs, shop assistants at some WTC shop, were all happy to touch the implants and discussing about.
However, in general, I would say indifference reigns as Stogie wrote it, or at least GGs and men contain their astonishment and comments; contrary to other places like for example Hong Kong, which is a very provincial and narrow minded "World Class City", as the assholes in the government are boasting about!

There isn't discrimination between the sexes, except a little for gay men.

Thai discrimination is more based on classes.

When May and I go places, the stares invariably come from 'upper-class' people, but even then, it's not a whole lot, amounting to pretty much stares.

We've never had discrimination except in Phuket at a hotel, by some ignorant fucking clerk who clearly did not like Ladyboys, and some of the muslim taxi drivers (although some of their daughters are ladyboys).

By and large, the discrimination is pretty small except for the office workplace, where LBs have very, very low chances.

ok guys just curious i know this thing is quite dull to happen but if an incase i was thingking that you guys get jelous or angry if an LB girlfriend of yours is sleeping with another guy or having an affair with another guy but how about if your LB girlfriend is having an affair with a GG or having sex with a GG while she is inside in your relationship......does it bother you guys???or you are more worried if they go to another man??
