Since it seems we can post Japanese characters (wasn't sure about this), I'll give fellow Jgirl lovers some expressions to stuff in their online quests:
ニューハーフ = newhalf (LB, TS, whatever)
variations on having/not having certain parts:

no balls: 玉抜き & 玉なし & タマヌキ & たまぬき
has balls: 玉有り & 玉あり & 玉付き & タマ付き

if you like puzzles, see if you can figure out which character(s) means balls, and which character(s) describe possession

still has penis = 竿有り & 竿あり & サオ付き

コンパニオン = companion (works at the newhalf clubs)

sex change (seitenkan) = 性転換
undergo sex change operation = 性転換手術を受ける
sex change operation = 性転換手術
Sex change is completed = 　性転換済み
"perfect conversion" = 完全性転換

Forgot to mention a really simple thing to look for - in case everything else is missing about the parts, look and see if there is

- it's shorthand for "have have" - having both pork and beans.  I see this and run away!  My new friend Chari probably runs, too.  We leave them for the rest of you pork and beans guys.  My religion doesn't allow pork - I guess you could say that I'm holey.

I sort of regard this as a dumping ground for Japanese lessons, too.

In the thread on "part-ops", the question arose about handling Japanese encodings. Here's a repaste of the response:

Yeah, there are several encodings - Shift JIS, and ISO-2022JP are the most common. Some use something like EUC-JP. Anyway, you can change your encodings in IE: View -> Encoding -> Japanese, etc. I'm not sure if you have to have the language packs installed or not. I don't think so, but if you can't get that to work, go to the Control Panel and work on you language settings.

There are a very, very few sites that don't seem to work with IE from the US version of Windows; I believe they somehow worked only with the Japanese version of Windows. Actually, I knew of only one such site, and I tried really damned hard to make it work. Eventually, they did a site redesign, and now it works okay for me.

I think the language pack is cuz you don't have Japanese fonts installed. That's probably the reason. Or else your version of Windows is just hyperventilating. I don't really know for sure. Every time I install an OS, I install all the character sets, because, you know, porn is international.
