Also, for those acquiring a new SIM card don't forget to bring your passport. You are now required to provide some identification, a passport if you're a foreigner, to register your SIM card to.

Actually they gave up on that idea. They set at a Dec 31st deadline, and then on January 4th said they couldn't be bothered.

So no passport needed, unless you register in the deep south (which I hope no one is visiting).

if your from uk just get phone unlocked so u can use any sim then when u go to los go to mbk upper floors buy sim and it will fit you can buy sim from small stores but cheeper and easyer from mbk as you get gredit with sim unlike small shops like 7/11 as for charger all you need is a adaptor for your plug and then theres no problem

Hey Squirly, cheap used or new phone can also be bought at the Com Center on Pattaya Tai.

For a short holiday, a cheap used one is the way to go IMO, and u don't have to worry about losing it.
