ya, Stogie is too normal  for the gig.  he'd have to develop torretts or something to get on the show.

i was always a bit dispointed in Howard's TV. Think his style lends itself better to radio, weaving a long narrative.

his books are great too. i was reading one on vaction in italy with a girlfriend and she was getting pissed that i was spending so much time with that "stupid book".  so we made a deal that we'd do something she liked and in exchange then i'd read outloud to her from the book.
