So I paid for a lifetime bar fine for May, i.e., 10,000 Baht.

However, there is one catch (for her).

If you take her out after paying the lifetime fee, she gets no salary for those days that she's out with you. So, at 8000 baht/month salary, that is about 260 baht/day or so, so you need to consider that in her payment else she's losing money going out with you (if she cares).

It's a minor point, but just thought you should know.

This was at Cascades. So the lifetime fee does exist.

I'm not surprised that all this is outside your realm of understanding. Not that there is anything in Cascades to interest you, but the barfine there is 600 baht. Same as Obsessions. Some places outside Bkk are cheaper. The Pattaya Soi 6 bars are 200 baht for example.
So if one planned on spending 2 or more weeks with the same lb why not just go ahead and pay a lifetime barfine?

Some Soi 6 bars have a system where the longtime (off premises) barfine is double the shorttime barfine. Soi 6 is quite the bargain with the barfine including the shortime room. NEP, 600 barfine plus 300?? shortime room vs Soi 6 200 or 250 all inlusive.

Oh, one more thing...on a lifetime barfine, if she goes out with you, it is not considered an "off", so, she still has to make her quota of 7 or 8 offs. If she doesn't, she loses cash again. So, basically, lifetime bar fine is great for the customer, bad for the girl, unless u make it up to her.

Pogue...the danger in taking a girl out of the bar and sending her home, is that, after Bangkok, it is blazingly boring in rural Thailand at home with the folks. I can't see a 18-25 yr old beautiful LB every being able to live that way. So you should think about that.

For me, I'm giving May a job for 3 months to help sell my calendar! This way she stays in Bangkok, has something to do, but I don't want her out of the bar 100% because I think she needs the friendships and social system still. So maybe she'll work 1 or 2 days a week.

It's not all about money, these are young, vibrant girls, and they need some fun, just like we did before.

Hmm, I wasn't aware that the prices add up like that. Yeah, 2 weeks out of there, and a lifetime barfine makes sense. Such a strange system in that it means barfines go to the club and the money somehow gets filtered back to the girls (except in this case, it seems). Why not just charge a higher cover charge?
