Has anyone ever walked down Sukhumvit road after 2 in the morning? You can't move for "private enterprises" selling all the booze you can drink. Last week I came out of a bar at 5.30 in the morning (OK I know the owner) but they were still selling booze on the street. Stogie is absolutely right, ignore all the crap you read (not mails from Stogie or me), remember Thais will always find a way of making a baht and the police bribe is a long established and much loved (well the police love it) way of life in Thailand. Just go out and enjoy the booze and the ladyboys.
