Thai tourists warned of sedative-spitting transves

BANGKOK, Thailand -- Thai police are warning tourists of a new scam.

Members of a Thai transvestite gang have confessed to hiding strong sedatives in their mouths and spitting them down the throats of victims during deep kissing. Then they rob the drugged tourists.

The confession came from three attractive transvestites arrested in Bangkok last week. Police say they'd robbed a Bangladeshi businessman of more than $7,300 in cash and valuables.

Police say the victim told investigators he met the transvestites in a bar and invited them all back to his apartment.

After kissing one, he said he felt dizzy and passed out. When he woke up, his cash, watch, mobile phone and notebook computer were gone.

A police lieutenant colonel has this warning for tourists: "Don't rush to kiss a stranger on the mouth or you will end up in a deep sleep."

so i'm wondering -- any names to these 'attractive transvestites'? Gotta love that the reporter (or the police blotter??) described them thusly!! Maybe the judge'll reduce their sentences accordingly? ;-)

I've heard of the analingus method of instant drugging, but the spitting in the mouth thing has an s&m ring to it I haven't heard much in LOS, since you'd think an old-fashioned DFK would cause the giver to pass right out with the receiver. Very interesting....

Although I'll re-state an OLD warning -- lock your shit in the safe before you bring the babe home. Why even tempt her to try such shit? And have her leave that ID at the desk. Just in case. Obviously, these 'attractive transvestites' didn't get far before being arrested...

If this story is true (and I seriously doubt it) then from what I have read on this thread the twit deserved to get rolled.

"Let's see... It's Friday, I've finished work and I'm horny - let's invite a few dodgy dress wearing men over for some fun. I sure hope they don't see the laptop, phone and $7,000 cash that I have lying around the place!"

It's much more likely that he lost his stuff gambling and is trying somehow to recover some of his losses.

Its probably very true im afraid although i thought that the practice had died down in the last 6 years or so. Its an old old scam and is always reported as being done by Ladyboys.

This has been going on in Pattaya since at least 1989 when i first started going. The American bikers were always telling stories about this. In them days they used to hide the sleeping shit under the fingernails and slip it in yr drink before sex.

The main culprits in them days were a mob of Ladyboys who used to hang about near the old Simon Caberet(RIP) . The Police has a crackdown and i thought that is had gone for good.

I'm not saying that this kind of thing doesn't happen, but I don't buy the 'Business man losing everything' story. This man seems to have been targetted by professional thieves not by opportunistic conmen, er... conpersons! (If it indeed even happened, and I'm still not convinced.)

Folks - if you are drunk, picking up streetwalking ladyboys in the middle of the night then you stand a good chance of getting rolled (and you deserve to be!)

I can't believe how many people set themselves up to be robbed so well, the quantity of people you see walking around with there entire "life" in a "bumbag" around there waist.
 Glancing into hotel rooms when the maids are in there, stuff alover the place, I stay in hotels 6-7months a year, it doesn't matter what star they are or where they are you can be robbed very easily, if you don't take precautions!
 A proffessional whorest does not where attention getting designer clothes, ( rediculous in a country where everything is copied.... even the women!! ) no jewelry, a very cheap watch if he/she wears one at all, no credit cards, perhaps a copy of his passport photo page to appease the local authorities. Monies secluded about his/her person in several difficult to access places, & never more than you can afford to loose. Monitor your bar bill or pay on receipt, scams & bill padding are par for the course in the sex industry. Stay below the radar, don't get drunk, be the grey person.      
  The room should be prepared for "guests", nothing left out in plain sight, & preferably valuables secured in the hotel safe or room safe. ( Altho' this can still be robbed by the hotel staff!! ) Keep periods where you can't see your guest(s) to a minimum, remember the longer you are in the bathroom the longer they have to turn your room over. ( Shower together, more fun ) Keep an eye on the room drinks cabinet too, tho's minitures cost a fortune at hotel prices & fit so nicely in the handbag of your guest!
   If your guests skin doesn't "taste nice" or smells strange AFTER they took a shower, be suspicious, you can usually tell if its perfume or not, Thais are slightly paranoid about being clean & odorless. There are some clever drugs about tho'. Not sure I go with the flow about having one spat in my mouth during french kissing, sounds a bit suspect.
   The LOS is not as secure & nice as everyone would have you believe, but don't let that put you off. Its miles safer than South America.  
   Come on folks its common sense, not rocket science, if you set yourself up to be robbed,.... you will be!

Yep! Remember them days. Got caught out a couple of times myself. Unfortunately for them, even the money I was going to give them was in the hotel safe, so they took my clothes!

My very first time and very first night in Bangkok I'm pretty sure they attempted to drug me but thanks to sites like this I was aware of what to look out for.  If you're alone and a rookie then you got to be very careful€¦ they somehow can tell.

It was a unscrupulous Nana GG bar on the main floor. I walk in and some guys next to me drum up a conversation and I'm telling them it's my first time here in Bangkok...(stupid me!) well the Mamasan must have been listening or somehow knew I was a rookie. Well after 15 minutes I had a Girl next to me and I had bought her a drink.. then I paid the bar fine and the Mamasan walks past and smiles at me but didn't say anything... the girl I bar fined goes to the back to change and I sit there alone and 2 girls come and sit at the table next to me and the Mamasan comes over and talks to them with her back to me... then she turns and I see her hand go for my beer... she took it quickly turns and puts it back... I act like I didn't notice but it was fizzing and I'm sure she put something in it... I didn't touch it after that... The Girl comes from the back and we leave to my hotel. As soon as we enter my room she checking out the place and goes right for my Lap Top computer really look it over! I was really suspicious now... so I fucked the shit out of her and tosses her out of the room.
