So, Cascades/Obsessions owners told the girls that it will never open again, as of today. Practically that means it'll open as a GG bar I guess or something else.

Completely separately, I saw (again) coppers pick up a LB I know (May of Pattaya) tonite, take her down to pay 1000 baht; of course, after passing 100 GGs on the street. F'g pricks.

When I was in BKK the other week I saw many ladyboys taken by the cops (Tumruat) outside Nana and along Sukhumvit. One told me she tipped them to not pick her up again so gave them 1500 instead of 1000 and she said it works.

Yeah they were piliing into the back of pick up trucks and taking back to the station. I saw this nearly every night when I was in BKK. Some even told they would be picked even if they were already with a customer. I did not actually see that happen though.

You know of course this is targeted at LBs? I have never heard of a woman getting picked up.

I called May (of Pattaya), on the bike when I saw the cop take her. While on the bike, she started talking to me about when she could see me after going to the station. So, it is not serious, it is strictly a bribery scheme, but likely not a pleasant one - I can imagine mokery, jokes by cops.

I think (and I'll bet that the ladyboys agree) that paying off the cops is a small price to pay for freedom.

It's a damn site better than having the girls 'owned' by pimps and being told when, who and how to fuck their clients.

It's not a perfect world folks, but in Thailand it's better than anyplace else.

Paying off the cops is simply the cost of doing business and I'm sure that it's not as bad an experience as people are making out.

Also they don't pluck people indiscriminantly off the street. Prostitution is illegal in Thailand and if you make yourself a target for punters then you'll be a target for the cops too.

Got to disagree with you here Stogie as I actually saw them pluck people off the street. Yes they were ladyboys but they were not outside Nana and some where even about to eat along Sukhumvit.

 Pattaya was fun before 2000......since then it's boring and the ladyboy quality sub-par; I think it is very telling that I was there for 3 nights around Miss Tiffany show in May and took home Donut for 2 of them; the talent on walking street was sad and she was the best of anyone I saw there.

What the fuceroonnee??? Any one in the know on why they closing em down? Surely they will have some where else to go, a while ago there was nothing but lb's outside nana after 1am so maybe the ggs had enough? just my little engine brain doing over time.

My info from one of the girls is that it will be a GG bar, and most of the Obsession girls will move to Cascades, but some will go to Phuket, and a few might go to Japan as part of a cabaret show.
