Dating a student in your own class is probably NOT the best thing
Perhaps dating someone from the school or institute where you work at, although a bit dangerous, it could be a solution.
It is known that expatriate teachers in Asia are dating students from the school where they work, andeveral cases thereave been unpleasant situations
Had a friend of mine, a teacher of french, who made something stupid with his student, a 21 y.o. chinese girl of wealthy family, and he got some serious problems.
Just play smart and don't make it loud

The original post asked where to FIND these girls and my suggestion was to teach at a University.
Now - what you do after you have found them is a different kettle of well turned stones!
Dating students is a really bad I dea if you are teaching at the same place. Never done it myself but I have seen the fall out and it can have remarkable consequences. (I have wanted to, of course, but never followed through.)
To teach in Thailand you just need a degree of any kind. It doesn't matter what. Government Unis pay crap but stock the best ladyboy talent. So you'll be quite happy to hand in your resignation when it comes oiut that you are dating one of their milk monitors!
Then you just ply your trade at a private school for double the money - or find another way to make a living.
There is a multitude of ways to find talent here that don't involve getting a job as a teacher. Just go shopping at any of the big malls and look for yourself. Makeup counters etc.
Go to 'Hollywood' disco and see loads of them partying all night. Nice girls and workers unite, here!
You can simply wait till you get lucky! That seems to be my increasingly favoured modus operendi!Comment

When I first came to Thailand I didn't seriously expect to be shacked up with the first girl who met me at the airport. I had ambitions of being a true slut and lothario for the first few years and then settling down after! Oh well!
The main thing is to not get involved too deeply at the start. (I didn't follow this advioce and luckily for me Kui is a gem.) Don't live with someone right away unless you are absolutely sure that you still want her sleeping all day in a years time.
The thing is that there is so much choice and variety here that you'll not really be good at monogomy for a while.
Don't buy gold, or make outragious promises or visit the family to much. Maintain your independance and distance both physically and emotionally.
The good things that you do for your girlfriend quickly become assumed habits and she will change the bad things to suit her.
If you give her money at the start then prepare to do it forever! If you stay out late drinking then expect to be mercilessly made to feel guilty about it.
I had three fights with Kui all within the first two months and we have been great since then.
One of our fights was when I came home late one night (about 12:30 - so not that late!) and had been with my football chums drinking. It was obvious that I hadn't been with anyone else. She started cryinga dngnashing her teeeth...
I immediately started to pack her stuff and take her to a hotel where she could stay till I found her an apartment. No-one (no matter how much I love them) tells me when to go to bed at night! I wouldn't tell her to be at home at a certain time and I certainly don't expect to be treated as if I was living with a Western skank.
Next day I explained the realities of her situation and after that it was NEVER EVER a problem.
Another time she wanted some money for her family. I told her to tell them to get fucking jobs. My relationship was with her not her family. (Remember we had just started seeing each other, so we weren't as firm as implants yet.) A few tears later (and I felt gulty about this) and the problem is resolved. No handouts to the bloodline. (I also was living month to month on about $500 a month so we didn't have much to give anyway!)
A minor disagreement surfaced when she wanted me to supply her with some change to give a beggar. I don't work to feed the poor. If Thais want to donate to the Mafia chapter of their choice then get a fucking job and throw money at these horrible urchins. Don't chuck MY hard earned loot at them.
Another issue was over how much gold I should buy. I thought NONE was fair and after a few tears she agreed.
Set the ground rules FIRST. If she bolts then she's not worth it.

The best way to find a non-working LB is to travel through the country! Go to the North, to Issaan, to little villages, they are full of them and you can actually pick them in their best years, BEFORE they get on a bus and head to BKK or Pattaya. Don't waste your time at Nana, get out and find the Gifs, Noons or Areeyas when they are still just cute high-school/ college kids!
