Anyone marry a lb?

With all this talk of relationships, how many people know someone who's married a LB? Either Thai or foreign husband... Actually, can a LB marry in Thailand? Or only if they've had SRS?

Really, I suspect someone here knows of it happening, but I also suspect it's gotta be very rare.

For what I know from one of my friend in BKK who plans to do SRS, in Thailand they won't change the sex in the your ID card and other certificates, so it would be good to marry in those few countries where same sex marriage is allowed by law (Belgium, Holland, Denmark, etc..)
However, tonight I'm going to meet a POP who is coming from Bangkok for working in here for next three days. She is in the tourism industry.

First time I'll have an encounter with a non pro POP...so, I'm looking for it with mix feelings thou. My previous experiences with pros POP's weren't that great except for one, about 10 years ago in BKK.

Actually, can a LB marry in Thailand?

There was a good aticle in the BKK post in June about a famous Thai male pop singer whos just married? a 27 Y/O LB . Im not sure whether it was sanctioned legally but he had a big turn family turnout and he said his family just accepted her as a GG. .....

Ladyboys cannot legally get married in Thailand as the law only allows marriage between males and females (genetic).

However, there are temple ceremonies that occur and some lbs go through that ceremony with their partner as the marriage act - but not legally recognized. If you have ever done a tourist trip to the Rose Garden, just outside Bangkok or Nong Nooch Village in Pattaya (what - do not tell me you've never gone around in the day time!), they will peform a traditional Thai wedding ceremony and you can get the idea of what happens for a temple wedding.

There are many LBs marrying farangs!

Go to MBK shopping center. There are 2 photo shops there specializing in fancy LB photos. Each one has an album almost full of farangs marrying LBs. I don't know any of these people, which maybe is good, implying they aren't working girls, but there are lots of marriages going on (legal or not).

Just got confirmation by my POP friend last night that legally it is not possible. Documents and ID will not be changed by Thai governemnt even after SRS. As rxpharm says rightly, genetically are male and such will remain by law.
She was in fact telling me that if she will ever get married (legally) will have to be in another country.
Never been to Rose Garden..where is it? Damn..never have time for a sightseen when in BKK

In the US, they're female after SRS, so they can get married.

For those of you who visit SF, the owner of Divas is married to a post-op. I think it's the woman who works or used to work at the front, named Anna or Melissa. The owner mentioned he's married to a postie in an interview. Well, I guess he's the person you'd most expect to be open about such things, and probably the guy who's most likely to marry a TS, since that's his bread and butter.
