No doubt it is a good deal. Need to check re the flexibility of changing return dates. Often the tickets aren't open. But I'll ask. Problem is, I'm not there, so it is a painfully slow process getting my friend to ask the right questions.

If you happen to get the info by tuesday night, by all means post. Otherwise I'll play it by ear.

    Cheers Ziggy

Ok, if I can remember, I'll swing by Monday night, and I'll post the details for everyone. It's on my way home.

          Thanks Ziggy.

As for LB friendly, I don't know. I'd be booking a double, so should be OK.

However, that raises an interesting point.

Do hotels (apart from the friendly-friendly ones of course) look down their noses at LB partners when u check in together ? Is there any vibe, or is it business as usual ?

          I wonder...any experiences ?

I have never gotten this anywhere and I have travelled quite a bit in Thailand and checked into many hotels with a ladyboy or had them over as guests. If a hotel ever gave me crap I would move right away.

Pattaya Centre; one night I brought back a cutie and the night manager pulled me aside and said "you know that is a boy, correct?" and I assured him that I knew. That was about the only time I have gotten 'warned' or that anyone even cared, but occassionally you will see the night staff or the security guards chuckling about it. Fuck 'em.

Never had it done on me, but be aware that some hotels, especially in Phuket, do charge a "Guest Fee" (girl or LB); only the higher end ones of course. I got whacked 3000 Baht at the Pattaya Beach Hotel (5 star)...2 TIMES...because I brought in 2 different girls in 1 night. Needless to say I was cursing and swearing and checked out the next day after throwing the keys at the manager. I only know that hotel for sure, but if you go 5-star, ask first, "Do you have a guest fee?".

Pity them for not recognizing what a treat they're missing. Seriously, how often do you think that a ladyboy you are with is NOT clocked by the locals? I suspect the tourist farangs are much more oblivious but not the natives.

Didn't think there'd be an issue either, thanks for the reassurance.

I'd be checking in 'with' so wouldn't be concerned about guest fees.

wow, Ziggy, 3000 baht?? that is amazing for a guest fee, bunch of assholes

I hate guest fee's just on principle, it's like being treated like a little kid or something. Just tack it on to the bill and I will be fine with that; but I bet you can pretty much demaned any hotel on Phuket right now "no guest fee" and they would say OK.

I remember one time I stayed at a hotel on the beach; I made 100% sure there was no guest fee before I checked in, the travel agent I knew assured me and there wasn't a fee for me, despite the fact there was a sign on the desk saying "500 baht for joiner fee"; I had the insiders deal and only paid my room charge even if I had a guest. Then one night I brought back TWO girls, Phone and Yo; the asshole guy on the desk that night charged me 500 for the extra girl and I couldn't get out of it, my deal meant one guest only.

                    Assholes!
