Have any of you guys,had a long term relationship with a ladyboy?
Do you know of any that have lasted,i only hear about ones that finish?
What do you think is the reason for long term relationships failing?
Is it better to live well away from where the girl previously worked,get her away from other influences?
Any information,and advice will be appreciated,i am myself just having to make the decision to live with a ladyboy,i have no doubt about our feelings,but fear that i have never heard of a relationship lasting.

I have been with Kui since the first day I arrived in Thailand over four years ago. (She met me from the airplane and was the first person I ever met. We started an email relationship a few months befroe we actually met face to face!)

While our relationship isn't as intense as it was in the first year we are closer than we ever have been in the past.

She is the most important friend in my life. She was 18 when we met and she's changed and grown beyond all recognition in the last few years. I still can't imagine my life without her.

There are literatly tens of thousands of beautiful young ladyboys just like her who would love to have a long term farang boyfriend to spoil and take care of.

The real question is are YOU prepared to meet the challange and do some work to make it last?

The first thing you have to do is leave your country, because Thais will NOT settle down away from their families and their culture. At least certainly not the kind of girl that you want to spend a long time with!

Can you do that? Move to Thailand and eak out a living just for the cause of love? If you can't then just forget the whole idea and stick to shagging whores.

I will be living in Los,with 4 trips a year to the UK for business reasons,two one week trips and 2 two week trips.
I have a good business, i am fortunate enough to have reached the point,where i could retire if i wanted to,so i will not have to eak out a living.
She is a 27 year old, i am not young,but i do have excellent self asteem.
She has no idea of my financial situation,i learnt that lesson very early,i had two gg girlfriends,who only cared about the money.
I do not think for one moment that anyone is going to live with me unless they are ging to get something out of it,no real difference the world over.
I already have my own home in Thailand,and can speak a fair amount of Thai.

OK, now the mean but obvious question to you hopeless romantics who believe that you can have a true ladyboy relationship;  will you still want this person  when she is 45 or 50?


 I mean, if you are talking about relationships lasting, we are talking going the distance, correct?  Like "death do us part" type of distance? So naturally, you are still going to love your  ladyboy  when she is 45 and the hormones have long since stopped working and she dioesn't  look quite as good as she once did.   With Nana Plaza or Pattaya beach road right outside the door bustling with 19-20 year old nubile ladyboys just in from the country that you can screw for 25 dollars?    If your love can overcome all that you are a superstar, and certainly if you are in love there will be no temptations at all from these places, only your girl will suffice.

 Stogie is the only example of  a ladyboy relationship I have ever seen work for any amount of time, and I thought that one was over  1 year ago when they moved to seperate quarters.  They may still be friends, but Stogie screws  girls and ladyboys whenever he has the chance so I would guess any type of a true "relationship" in the romantic sense of the word is over even if they remain close.  When this question was first posed I looked at it from the ladyboy point of view and  automatically said "no way" like I always do; now I am looking at it from the guys point of view so lets all be honest.

I do largely agree with Stogie and Jaidee as the numbers point to the obvious dismal state of affairs with regards successful longterm relations, HOWEVER, I can offer some hope !! And I am surprised that Jaidee and others did not remember. I know a guy called Tim. I've known him 6 years now. He came to Thailand approx 10 years ago and owns 2 bars in Pattaya. He has actually married his ladyboy sweetheart who was the number 1 girl at KC3 all those years ago. He sold his house in the uk moved to Bangkok and moved her out of the bar scene. After 1 year they moved to Pattaya to start a bar in what was Jomtien Soi 4 a real toilet. A year later they got married near Laos were Sallys parents live and they have been married happily for 6/7 years now !!! They have 2 bars now 1 in soi4 and 1 in soi 5 opposite the Dusit Thani Hotel. I visit him approx 3 times a year and all is well ! I think he might play away on occasion when he goes to Bangkok but would not play away in Pattaya ! So I think I can safely say this is the only longterm relationship that has actually worked !!

Liked Stogie pointed out you need to live in Thailand and you need to find an income to take care of her and of course her family !! Tim actually pays for 2 of her cousins for there schooling and often pays her father and mother an allowance of sorts ! And then in any business in thailand you will have to handle the police too if you decide to go into bar work etc..

Life is hard and every month he needs to find the rent for the bars but hey he is in thailand with a ladyboy and is happy. I have a tremendous amount of respect for this guy as I honestly thought like many brits that go to thailand to open bars he would be back in london within a year penniless and broke ! But no he goes from strength to strength and i cannot help but admire his tenacity and success.

Or without any risk there you never will find your happy relationship. Here it looks sometimes that all relationships with a gentic woman will be without any financiale lost of the guy. again, I think it all depends on what is considered 'long-term'; no question it is possible to have a good relationship for 1 or 2 or 3 years, I have even had a couple myself. If long- term is meant to last forever or even for the next 20 or 30 years than I guess we will just have to wait and see if that ever happens.

you are writing off the entire female population of Thailand as gold diggers and disloyal. How have you come to this conclusion? How extensive is your experience with Thai women? Have you been personally burned by a Thai and has that clouded your judgment and opinion?

There ARE good Thai girls out there, and it IS possible to have a long term relationship with a Thai female or ladyboy. As people have said before it will be nigh on impossible with a bar girl/LB because of the baggage that will be brought into the relationship. It is harder in Thailand due to the ease of availability of young, attractive women/LBs, but it is possible with the right person.
