I have read loads of emails from guys written to ladyboys. (Yup - once the girls get around to reading them, they can rarely understand them, so they need someone to translate!)

So why oh why do some guys think that Thai girls (ladyboys) will be able to understand some of the complicated English, long words and idioms?

I have seen phrases like "fraught with nerves" used just recently by some Canadian gaffer. I have also seen "I don't want to be led up the garden path" in a recent parlay to a bewildered (and consequently disinterested) ladyboy who has been on this site!

Keep it simple, guys and better still - don't bother at all unless you are in the Kingdom of Thailand. Ladyboys simply do NOT want to read farang rubbish about themselves and their lives.

Either phone or IM on the internet. Emails do not work with bar girls.

If a ladyboy says that she has to change her phone number because of farang harassment then I take that with a pinch of salt. Some girls just like a bit of melodrama in their otherwise rather crap lives. Or they will say anything to make YOU feel special!

I have read these also and they are comical; long love letters, poems, descriptions, dreams of moving them to your home someday.... the ladyboys have heard it all and are bored with it now. tell me what you can do for me within the next 2 weeks and keep it short, please.

Ya, I get to the point and keep it simple.  Even this email, since her english is not very good, she'll need a friend to translate.

My intention was simply to let her know exactly when I'll be arriving so she doesn't go upcountry since I want to spend a week with her and I'm sure she'll want to spend a week with me since I'm such a studmuffin.  Sample below:


I go to Pattaya on Sunday, November 13th.

What about afterwards? I often get the SMS or email  and send the odd one back aswell to keep things on the boil,for next time. Is that their version of after sales service?

One who's english is good likes to IM me with her cam at the internet cafe. Her efforts to keep in touch has earned her friend status, if she doesn't piss me off. What that means is there's no reason for me not to give her a couple thousand baht when I see her even if I don't sleep with her.

For God's sakes, if you guys are going to devote so much of your life into fucking and loving Thai ladyboys and girls, then learn Thai...its not that tough. Any local Thai temple will have monks that will teach you for free and Larry Higbie's "Essential Thai" lays it out so easy. Trust me, your sessions and time with these girls and lb's will increase 10 fold if you learn Thai.

BTW, did you know that if you do write an e-mail, and sometimes SMS too, that the responder may not be the LB you sent it to? I know more than a few LBs who have a 'writer' respond to their e-mail (and SMS), because they don't f'g understand a word!

Stogie said it well. Forget e-mail. It's completely stupid for Thai contact, and anything you get back is likely the feelings of a 'writer' whose job it is to keep you on the hook. And for SMS, PigDogg got it right. "Hi, u ok? See you 1 week. Ziggy from Soi 4." That's about as deep as u want to get.

My twin LB who doesn't speak a single word of English sometimes responds with a long eloquent SMS to me. When I ask here what she sent, she has no idea, she got a friend to write something. This is quite common.

I have seen this quite a bit myself...... when a SMS or letter looks too good to be true english-wise, it probably is!

The last email from my sweetie, she definitly had some farang help.  But figure she went to internet cafe with a Thai friend and they bumped into a guy who wrote it american style.
For example used Nov for November, so it's not like she was trying to fool me that she had no help. So it was clear clean communication so I'm sure she understood my original email about my schedule.

A couple times I was at an internet cafe and hepled a Thai girl with an email.  Figure I'm helping out the Thai girl,and the falang.  Just my way of spreading love around.
