This is a very interesting discussion - but I am wondering if the increase in HIV infections correlates with a decrease in the use of condoms? It has been shown in the USA, condom use decreased markedly among the gay male population and this has lead directly to increased HIV transmission.

Statistics like these are important, but sometimes a more indepth look is required. What would be also useful is a study into what % of the Thai male population also use condoms 100% of the time. I suspect this study would show a similar result to what was found in the USA. Twice I had a condom break... I felt it both times and pulled out. Once was with an Eden girl I had brought back to my hotel.
