It is far too SIMPLE to divide this argument in two ! From my humble understanding of the medical journals and extensive research done in Holland, which by the way is one of the leading authorities on transsexualism, is still being debated by academics in that there must be a MULTITUDE of factors involved. That must be no surprise to people because genderism/ sexual identity is a complex system. I'll give you an example. Any of you business guys out there will have undoubtably come across the myriad of "personality testing" modules that are out there to assess employee personality profiling/traits. Some are relatively accurate but most are totally crap at trying to find out your real personality traits. There are so many dimentions to ones personality and the effect of environment that ALL tests never say that they can predict how you are going to behave 100% of the time - that would be crazy. What they do offer is a best "guess" in that scenario - lots of grey areas then right ? Well guess what same thing here with ladyboys - it's another grey area. Nobody - repeat nobody Ozzie - knows the definitive answers. They are all inferences thus far based on theorum not fact.
What I am sure about is that the answer to your complex question will not be solved in Big dogs in Nana plaza over a couple of beer changs, several bbq snags and a meat pie with hot sauce mate. Clearly, you have alot to learn.

If you read the poll again what I asked for was opinions as I realise that is all we can actually offer on the subject, and I was curious as so it it seems were other members as to what we thought where the possible reasons were behind our favourite girls being ladyboys.

Also your vain attempt at knocking my nationality was pretty pathetic. If that is the best you can do then please leave it to the grown ups.

as this question is about ladyboys and not transgender i will try and add my two bobs worth.

there are quiet a few reasons why they become ladyboys.

1 brought up as ladyboy from birth(genuine ladyboy)

2 had feelingd since young as being in wrong body.

3 change to work,(well as a boy limited opertunities but as ladyboy can demand top money.so why be a taxi driver working 7 days a week when you can demand 1500baht st.)

4 dress up to get straight guys(i no a few in this bracket they are attracted to men but as a boy they dont like gay boys so they dress up to get the straight's that like a bit of extra.)

5 some just dress for fun.

6 others become a ladyboy as they see themselves as a female and want to be one so they go the whole way.

i dont think i have covered all reasons but these are the main ones.

me well i dont class myself as ladyboy i am transgendered and have been dressing since i was seven i cannot even now explain why i do it just something i have to do.
as a guy i could never go with a man but once i am dressed i change,funny that.
i am from a straight background i have always had girlfriends,so it is not a sexual thing to attract men.

Yes it is interesting to see the views of the members on this subject. I am also of the opinion of "Do it if it feels right" of course so long as you are hurting any innocent party. Keep them coming

hmm...well, when I was a little boy , I was very closed to my mum and before I had a younger sister ,she liked to dress me up like a girl ( I have 3 older brothers and a younger sister who is 5 years younger than me ) ... when I grew up a bit, I prefered to play with girls ( but, also play with boys sometimes - football , watched straight porn , masturbation , etc.) ...and I was a teenager ( 16 - 17 ) , I used to date girl and had girlfriend ( she was and still pretty -I always meet her when I go back to my hometown , she has her family business near my house ).....and after that something just came into my head....I wanted to be a girl ! so I started taking hormone...... till now...

I used to live my life as a gay boy also....it was cool , had fun with my friends...and I didnt mind to be gay....but I just prefer to be ladyboy, dont know why either....

maybe another side of me,I am a dyke !!!


anyway, I love being ladyboy ..... that's what I know right now !
