Very interesting, Jackie! Not many LB's had "straight" experiences with girls. Would you say that it was a kind of self-finding process you went through? From straight - where you probably didn't feel very comfortable, to gay - where still something was not as it should be, to being a TS - where you finally found yourself?

But I think I cant have sex with girls anymore ...( used to try when I had gf...long long long time ago !)...
well, the sex scene with girl was not bad....but having sex with a guy is much more fun...and very cool !!..I cant explain why.... !

hmmm...as I mentioned above...I dont mind to live as a gay man... ,but ,right now, I am very happy to be a ladyboy - I can be full-time girl, I got a job, friends and other people accept what I am...( except my parents still do not accept what I am, too bad ,isnt it ?)

But...when I have breast implants at the end of this year, I think I cant go back to be gay anymore..

I think you are making a perfect case for my theory...... where is there any proof that you would have been a ladyboy had your sister been born first? It sounds like my other friend whose Mom wanted a girl and so therefore raised her son to be one, and she became a ladyboy; she wasn't born with it as far as she knows, she was made one.

sounds like the same with you? although Ozzie's poll is leading in the other direction; most people here seem to think that ladyboys are born with the desire to be a lady as soon as they come from the womb. I still don't see that.

Referring to Mandys excellent summary of the various types of TG's, I think there are many ways to become a TG - and not necessarily only because of a genetic pre-disposition. The way Jackie decribed it as a path she had to follow. It also goes together with my personal theory that you have to see sexuality as a kind of 360 deg. circle, with segments called hetero, homo, lesbian, tg, bisexual, lesbian-men, etc.... This circle is in everyone of us, but the vast majority of the people are caught in their segments due to various complex societal factors. We here are already quite advanced and looked into other segments of sexuality, but there is a lot more and people should definitely be more open and curious to discover those segements. I strongly believe that there is an incredible high percentage out there who just haven't found their "appropriate" form of sexuality. As Jackie described it so well, it's like a process of liberation that would help a lot of people to find their true sexuality.

The Psychology of sexual orientation by G Owen has just been released and is a Scientific treatise on the subject. It concludes that s/o is fixed biologically at birth. Around a dozen studies are presented to bolstere the theory that  sexuality is innate.identical Twins are used in many cases as is normal in these tests. If one twin is Gay the chance that the other one is gay is more than 50% which is above the expected average.

There will always be exceptions as many have already noted and of course theories are just that, theories !,but these guys have put a lot more hours into this stuff than us laymen and are not concerned with fluff and gossip . Its serious stuff.


Science= Hypothesis, Observation , Theory= it makes sense to me.

If anyone wants to buy it as i will , ill locate the publisher
The book was reviewed in several newspapers last week.
It talks about mainly gays but im sure that the nitty gritty covers all areas and surely relates to this thread

OK - here's my take...

The poll itself is overly simplistic - but this message board is just for fun and we aren't scientists so who cares really.

There is enough credible eveidence (about the splitting of chromozomes etc [deep stuff - too deep for the likes of me!]) for me to believe that sexuality is determined mostly before birth and also a little in the first few weeks after birth.

True ladyboys are girls who feel un-natural and trapped in the wrong body of a male. This becomes apparent from about the age of 5 or so.

Moving on...

Social, cultural and physical freedoms in Thailand make it easier to express yourself sexually.

Social - No fucking red-neck or macho closet fag is gonna beat you to death.

Cultural - You are held accountable for your personality and preferences through a system of faith that is forgiving and all-embracing.

Physically - The boys here already look like girls!

None of us really have all the answers and if we don't then it might be realistic to suggest that there are none.

At least here I can do what I please with a willing partner and still hold my head up high. Can you do that where YOU live?
