Hi there, I am new to the site and pretty new to the whole ladyboy scene.  I have been really taken by the pictures and the idea of Shemale Island, can someone tell me where I can get more information on the place?  How do you get there?

The place is Patong, Phuket. Patong is a city. Phuket is an island. Phuket is 1h20min flight from Bangkok, south, about $125 USD for a return ticket. Patong is 40min drive from the airport. In Patong, there is one main bar street called Bangla. On that street, there are 2 main LB bars, on "Crocodile Street", and in the Tiger complex, called "Cocktails and Dreams" (C&D). The street is about 250m long, so you can find them easily (just look for the crowds of wannabees watching). Both bars have about 25+ of the most beautiful LBs you have ever seen. Prices are in the 1500 Baht range for a LB, or $35 USD. You can find a hotel for $25 USD in walking distance of Bangla. There are many other LBs freelancing around too on the street, near the beach.

PS...now is a great time to go. Sunny, hot, not many tourists, ie, lots of LBs looking for customers.

I would recomend to stay at a hotel nem Sunset on the way to Kamala beach, it`s about5 minute with taxi (100BTH) or free if you can wait the hotel minibus.
I had DeLux room for 1200BTH a night, no problem with LB.
3 nice pools, 2 waterfalls and so on.....

Dude, Do it like me...Buy a ticket to Bangkok, arrive there and spend few nights checking out Nana Plaza...Move down to Pattaya, few hours drive form Bangkok, and also spend there more time checking the walking street among others, Head down to Phuket with a plane (cheap) by then you will have a good idea what's a ladyboy and how to deal with them, so another week or so in Phuket. And you are done, fresh graduate of Shemale Island Graduate school with a degree in MBA (Masters in Banging Ass's).

sure, of course I was only joking around......if you go back in the archives over the last 2 years we have extensive updates from "shemale island", also known by its real name of Phuket and we mention it dozens of times. we feature at least 4 or 5 girls from there every month; great place to meet ladyboys. check march and september 2003......extensive updates from there and lots of travel info.

I arrive BKK in 11 days for my virgin tour and, based upon all I hear here about going with the flow and finding bargains everywhere, I have booked NOTHING! Started to book a flight to "shemale island" (btw, I confess that before I came here to study up I thought Koh Samui was "Shemale Island") but with fares ranging widely from 2700 to 5330 Thb roundtrip bkk-hkt-bkk and ALL the hotels offering "specials" I'm tempted to even make those bookings "the day of". Am I crazy or can I really just walk into the Club Bamboo or K-Hotel in Patong and say "what do you have for half-price today?" Think that'd also work at Majestic Grande in BKK?
