Phuket or pattaya?

Need yr help on making plans - i need to decide if Phuket or Pattaya will be a good choice

Do em both buddy , Go to Phuket first and then fly to Pattaya , Upatao.

I did 3 weeks ago 1900bt and next time will get a stop off at Koh Samui as well and go for the Trifecta.

How long have you got?

Personally I prefer Phuket but others like Pattaya. They are same same but different. I don't like the size of Pattaya although for some this is precisely the reason they like it. I prefer the beaches and islands around Phuket as well. Cocktails and Dreams is a lot more laid back than say Jenny Star but there are certainly some stunners in both places.

As rextcy said go to both if you have time as it is only an hour or so to fly from one to the other and pretty cheap too.

Go to Phuket if you also value a nice beach and nicer environment while still having lots of sex.

As mentioned above why not do both, going BKK (by car)-Pattaya-Phuket-Bkk

Phuket or Pattaya...quite the conundrum...hmm...it's like asking if one prefers Burger King or Carls Jr. Do you prefer Pizza Hut or Dominos. Me...I like 'em all. Actually the best pizza I've ever had is at a place in Corvallis called Woodstocks. It is hard to find a place out here that offers smoked oysters on their pizzas. That being the case...I would say go to Phuket if you can only have the time for one, but not both. They need us to spend some money there after the tsunami, so as to help revitalize the place. By going there, one is not only getting to enjoy the company of some lovely ladyboys, but also doing their part of helping get Patong back completely to pre Tsunami condition.

Agree.Both places have there + points.If im only in Thailand for a few weeks i just stick to BKK & Pattaya.
But Phuket is a great place..

Phuket is great and not as "in your face" and the working girls there are more low keyed but Pattaya is more convenient and has better golf courses (if you like golf). The beaches are better in Phuket and Phuket looks a lot like Hawai and Pattaya looks like the "old 42nd street" in NYC on the water. But as we all know all of the girls are "working girls" out for our money which is fine wherever you go.

The pros and cons are simple.

Pattaya = sex all day and night. Nothing much to do but drink and sex. Beach very average. Can get LBs in daytime. LB bars just pickup joints (not that fun).

Phuket = sex at night. Beach, diving, spas in daytime. Impossible to find LBs in daytime. LB bars are very fun; can spend the night drinking, laughing at them and enjoy it.

BKK = sex mostly at night. Restaurants, bars, spas, drinking, shopping daytime. Tricky to find LBs in daytime except at shopping centers. LB bars are go-go style, ie, not places you want to spend an evening.

Maximizing time = Bangkok, Pattaya.
Maximizing enjoyment = Bangkok, Phuket.
