GHOST TOWER of Bangkok

Wow this it truly amazing to watch. Two thrill seekers find their way into and climb to the top of the now dilapidated 17 year old abandon skeleton building in Bangkok.

The Satorn Unique Tower is a 50 stories high skyscraper located in Bangkok. The construction of the building stopped at 80% in the 1997 because of the Asian financial crisis that hit Thailand. This skyscraper has been abandoned, since then the nature found its way through the concrete and the thai people believe it to be haunted by ghosts and called it the GHOST TOWER...

That is cool, those people are brave.
It must be haunted cause there doesn't appear to be anyone living in there.
That is the one right beside the freeway, I have always wondered what is with that.
There is alot of half done buildings in Bangkok. Also alot of major excavations that just sit there for years, like at Sukumvit Soi 6.

Pattaya will have it's own ghost tower now.
A 53 story condominium tower has been halted in Pattaya because everyone complained that it blocks the classic Pattaya beach view from the lookouts at the top of the hill. I think it also would block the Pattaya City sign from some angles in the city also. I was up at the the temple there and it really does change the view, it is right in your face.
Apparently after they halted construction due to complaints they found all sorts of shortcuts and deviations from the agreed plans.
The building is also alot closer to the water than it originally was supposed to be, and higher that intended.
(Just keep building until they tell us to stop....)
Not sure if they will just knock off the top, or take the whole thing down.

They just keep building it taller and taller thinking of all the extra money it€™s going to make them greedy little bastards. Typically you would never see such a tall building so close to a beach for other reasons such as support. A tall building like that will not only weigh a lot it€™ll have a significant wind load pushing on it. Being that ground there is going to be beach sand and a high water table that won€™t make a very good foundation for a tall building like this€¦ it€™s down right scary but not surprising for Thailand where money is #1 and if the building falls over in 3 years and kills 1000 people well that€™s too bad as they who built it would be long gone and enjoying all of the money they made.

In this video a Chinese highrise under construction falls over. This building was built without a dug foundation and rather on a pinned platform because of the close water table. As you see it didn't work out as they had hoped.

3000 fish caught in an abandoned shopping mall

Here's another one, fishing in an abandoned shopping mall.
Seem this mall was halted because the developer was building 7 floors rather than the agreed to 4 floors.
So many empty run down structures in Bangkok.
Now abandoned it is full of water and fish.
