          NEWS UPDATE @ 3AM

Thai Government just lifted the Tsunami warning. Stating that too much time has passed and there has been no sign of anything. Well that's good to know

Warning lifted because Thaksin couldn't see any money in it!

Much better to screw the country over gas price increases!

Good to hear nobody in Thailand got hurt and may those who died in Indonesia RIP.  If the earthquake happened at 118 PM Thai time ,the Patong evacuation must have started around 12:30 AM with the bars chock full of people.  Wonder if there was mass chaos or people quietly settling up their check bins and leaving?

My first instinct would be to go get a room at the Royal Paradise on a high floor.  May as well bring some ladyboys with me. Or maybe grabing a tuk tuk and say bring me to inland high ground on the double?

                What would you guys do?

A guy from another board wrote, "In Paradise in Patong, the bars are closed, and many people are evacuating the area. Oh God, not again".

The Paradise area, which is further away from the beach than C&D which is further away from Soi Katoey, was untouched during the December tsunami. Guess it pays to be careful but to evacuate the Paradise area you must first get a little closer to the beach.

Btw-The Paradise area is the part of town that has the drag shows.
