All the best of luck to Aom and your good self Norman, i am sure she will be up against some stiff opposition (no pun intended) but as they say "gotta be in it to win it", please keep us posted with the results, all the best again.

pentire, she's engaged, so not Mrs. yet,
Thanks for all the encouragement! A stroke of luck as I've found a video that shows the registration event. Aom says she is concerned as she is one of the shorter ladies in the contest. I told her to buy some really high shoes for the contest,
and not to worry as she is more beautiful than the girl in blue she posed with.
April 18 is the 1st elimination round at Central World in Bangkok to get down to the final 30 who will go on to Pattaya. If you are around then, try to make it and cheer her on!

one more weekday maybe?
I'm quite sure she will be among the 24 going on to Pattaya. The person who posted the video felt she is one of the stronger candidates, even though she is shorter. He also covered last year's contest, so has a good basis for comparison.
Aoms says thanks for all the good wishes, and if you are around Central World on April 18 and in Pattaya May 6, please cheer her on!

Ahh, the vagaries of contests! Unfortunately Aom did not make it into the final 24. I called her at 5:00 am my time, 5:00 pm Bangkok time. She was disappointed. She said the panel placed a lot of emphasis on what a contestant was studying or what career she had. She said some "not so beautiful" master's students, pharmacy students, etc. made it to the next round.
In a sense this is good, as she now has less stress, and more time to finish the family house and move things along on the restaurant project with her partners.
There should be some video and photos coming in around a week or so, I'll post the links when they are available.

I remember taking Kui to one of these as a contestant and she too fell at the first hurdle. It was like a family member had died.
It's such an anti climax to go to all that trouble and have all those hopes and dreams beaten down.
Of course, Kui was graceful and I muttered crap about how it was rigged and how she was easily the most beautiful... but nothing she and I could do or say could make the heart-breaking stain of losing so early on, go away.
Don't let her do any more of these for both your sakes!SHEMALE.CENTER

She told me she wanted to try as it was one of her dreams - so I think it is out of her system now, especially since she didn't make it to the next round.
She didn't sound as disappointed as I thought she would. I was pretty sure she would make it to Pattaya, but as it seems looks are not as important as previous years, she didn't make it.
She is also a bit relieved in a way, now she has more time to focus on finishing the house and working on the restaurant project.

In our eyes she is the winner Rx...And most certainly in yours...
She is very lovely...And you're a very very lucky man...
In my experience it's not such a great thing to be married to a beauty queen...I actually married one...Miss Napa County...She went on to the Miss California Pageant and won the most talented...And a fine musician she was...But for 23 years she never once let me forget that she was a beauty queen...
She died shortly after we divorced...Cancer had ravished her beauty and her body...The beauty that for 23 years she feverishly tried to protect...
Excuse me for writing all this on your thread...But recently I've been giving some thought to saying goodbye to Mrs. Kahuna...aka Fern...But your posts and Bumpa's and KL's and some kind words from PigDogg have given me some hope that maybe I can enjoy Fern's youthful beauty and company for a bit longer...Thank you all...
And here's my quote for the day...I don't recall who wrote it...So please forgive me..."Some people go looking for something in life and never find it. Some only pretend to find it. But I just want to live happily ever after, at least some of the time."
Enjoy your lovely beauty queen Rx..."It's not Gay if you beat them up afterwards." --- AnonComment

If you dont buy a ticket you cant win the raffle as they say. Whether one can ever win this prize is debatable with the "fixed" thing that overhang all these contests.
I was judge once in a small UK contest and the sponsers were openly trying to persuade the judges to vote a certain way... plying with drinks etc etc
Still , you never know and i dont blame her. She knows the reality of it and must have been a little bit cynical after all and she knows that the best dont always win
Good on her for trying anyway

Thanks TC, she was a bit down after watching a video of her interview session on Entertainment News last week. She's over it now and jokes that one of these days she'll be a sponsor for the contest (like Pratunam Polyclinic, Sunsilk beauty products, etc), and when they ask her why, she'll say it was because they didn't select her back in 2011 for the final 30.
Kahuna - true enough words! It's been almost 4 years now with Aom, and I am as happy now as when I first met her. The grass isn't always greener on the other side!
