Hello it's the new boy again guys with more questions.
I have asked about New York last week but there is a slight chance that Bangkok is an option this year instead. As I am a complete newcomer to everything regarding the L.O.S. please can I ask for your help again.

1) How can I be safe when arranging to spend time with a girl re. being robbed/drugged etc ?
2) Is it okay to use the rooms in bars and clubs or better to use your hotel and is that frowned upon by the owners/staff ?
3) What is a "bar fine" ?
4) How do I stay within the law and what is legal and illegal ?
5) What is the usual etiquette in bars ?

Sorry to ask so much stuff but if I go I want to get this part of my trip right because who knows when I will get another chance.

In a rush so can't answer your questions right now, but as someone who lives in New York, forget about going to New York, save whatever money you were going to spend on New York's overpriced hotels and overpriced whores and put it in your Thailand fund.

Bangkok is a much safer city than New York. And Bangkok whores will act like your girlfriend, you will not belive how nice some of the world's prettiest ladyboys can be.

OK most of the answers here are common sense and would apply in any country even your own. Also most of these have been answered before and you will get the ire of some members for not searching the archives before asking

1. Lock your valuables up in the room/reception safe. If this is not possible then at least put them out of site. Do not leave your girl/ladyboy in your room unattended for long periods of time. Don't accept a drink you have not seen someone poor and do not leave your drinks alone. I have not heard of drink spiking being a big issue in Thailand yet. Don't be overly paranoid.

2. Some of the bars have short time rooms. The will usually set you back 200 - 300 bath for  2 - 3 hours. I would recommend them only if you ar in a hurry otherwise take them back to your hotel. Although ensure your hotel is guest friendly by asking them before you check in and by booking a double.

3. A bar fine is what you pay to take the girl/ladyboy out of the bar, this varies depdending on whether it is a gogo or open air bar but will be between 200 - 600 bath. What you do after this is up to you and her but you will have to pay her an agreed amount over and above this.

4. Most of the laws are similiar to other countries so just don't do anything that would be illegal at home. The Thais a especially harsh on drug related crimes so don't take the risk.

5. There is no etiquette really. You sit down have a drink. If you see a girl you like call her over and talk to her, and if you want buy her a drink. Some will let you see a bit of the merchandise before buying just be careful not to try and grope her without it obvious she wants you too. If you want to take if furtther then pay the bar fine and she will go and get changed and put on her street clothes and come back.

I don't know if you noticed but on the top right hand of the screen there is a search button. It is very good. If you click on 'search' and type in key words such as bar fine, hotel, security, etc, etc you will find everything you need. There is volumes of information written on what you need.

Rudeboy, Think Ozzie answered your question extremely well but let me elaborate on point #4.
Don't have sex with underage girls.  Just cause a girl is working in a bar does not mean she's 18.  Check her ID, 2005 = 2548 in the Thai calendar so her year of birth should be 2529 or earlier.  There's also no guarantee that the ID's real and she could have also borrowed the ID.  If she looks too young, she probably is.

If a girl's pic is on AsianTS you can be sure she's 18.  Doesn't it sound like like fun to walk into Cascades and see your avatar, Noon, dancing. Of course she wants you to buy her a drink and chat for awhile.  But what she really wants is for you to take her back to your room and fuck her.  Or you can take both Noon, and Ozzies avatar, Vicky, back to your room and have them both suck your dick.  Would you like that?  How much do you think that would cost in New York?

I cannot thank all of you enough for your help and encouragement. I am very determined now to get to Bangkok sometime this year.
Truth is I cannot control myself when I am on this site and I am constantly getting off on the gorgeous girls here.
