I think they both sum it up. I've been there (4 times) and apart from the 'cultural' elements (both Thai and LB) it really comes down to how it clicks.

I prefer some kind of connection. That can happen with or without her being a LB. But I think given the ageing factor, I couldn't see anything long term.

Besides, it would have to be something pretty incredible to give up my independence. Hard won

I put in those types of gags in a lot of my posts. Good to see when they are recognized!

I remember reading the NME (New Musical Express) in the early 70s thinking "I don't understand ANY of what these guys are saying!"

It was so elitist as to be incomprehensible at times.

The older and more experienced I got, the more it all made sense.

And that's how I usually write now. Many of the guys will get the 'in' jokes, obscure references, one liners and off hand comments... many won't.

By the very fact that you bothered to post on this subject thread, I believe means you are more of the latter than the former. Of course that is in my humble opinion and WTF do I know! :-)

Many times, over and over it all depends on the LB.
Some LB's are mature enough and want only 1 man in their life; and many of them like the idea of a relationship, but the family can get in the way by always needing more money...

For years, even when I still was married I went straying with GG as well as LB's, not sure if I was confused or simply just needed to move the limits for what I liked sexually. I see myself as 'straight' (whatever That means in 2011...) and I have no problems admitting to myself I like intense sex with both real girls and LB's.

Making it public is another story, perhaps later in life.

I moved to Vietnam (last year) where the availability for LB are far less and in a complete other league than Thai LB's, I mean, this is rough boys mainly in cheap women dresses - and in no way accepted by the culture, government or people, at bit like "they are sick in their brain and should be locked up".

Interesting observation for myself is that I actually now has a real girl friend who is really sweet and all and my urges for LB's sex is not as present as when I lived in Bangkok (12 years). I guess if I moved back to the city the urges would go back up.

We are influenced by our surroundings, no doubt.

I do wonder why I am back on the board again though....... :-)
