How come there isn't a Scottish group since there is an Irish group?

I like the Scots because they have bagpipes, maybe the best instrument ever invented, and cool folk songs, where they pronounce supposedly English words in ways I don't understand and/or have never heard before. Like Sgt MacKenzie.

the main reason for the setting up of the irish group was because there were a lot of Irish guys here and i was the first to start a thread just to see how many Irish there were in the forum and at this moment there are 11 VIP irish members and i have contacted 8 others, so that when they reach 500 posts i will try and include them into the Irish VIP group.

I can only think of one Scotish guy here and that is Grinder, and unless there are at least 8-10 scottish guys posting, there will not be a Scottish VIP group

I figured you Irish lads were a nice bunch, but after the running of todays Melbourne Cup I'm not so sure.  

I'd been led to believe that Aiden O'Brien was the number 1 trainer in Europe, and his horse Septimus possibly the best stayer in the world.

However after todays Melbourne Cup, I'm a little poorer and bewildered at the lack lustre performance from Septimus and his two stable mates.  

In a field of 22 runners, this is how they finished;

Septimus (J P Murtagh) 18th

Alessandro (W M Lordan) 20th

Honolulu (Colm O'Donoghue) last.

The respective jockeys had the following to say;

JOHNNY MURTAGH (Septimus): "He might not be the horse for the race. "When they got into the straight he just stopped."

WAYNE LORDAN (Alessandro Volta): "Travelled well but wouldn't let down. Maybe the track was too firm. "I think he'll be back."

COLM O'DONOGHUE (Honolulu): "The ground was too quick for him."

Oh Well, I guess its only money....
