Just bought this for myself...

I've never owned a motorbike before. Pointless in the UK and I've had a history of accidents and even tragedy with these things.

But I've finally caved in to my desires and after some research I came up with this.

The process of buying was pretty easy and fast.

The bike runs great... a bit more powerful than the ones I normally rent but I'm not a biker so I don't need the big hogs!

If anyone with biking experience, etc, for Thailand wants to chime in then feel free...

The total cost which included helmet, jacket and two years of accident insurance was 55,500 baht (which includes the 'mag' wheels which I wanted.)

Now I just have to find a user manual I can understand!

I am personally not a big fan of Yamaha Scooters, I always prefered Honda. I drive in town a Honda PCX also only 125 cc, but for the city enough power, even for me and a sexy ladyboy on the back. But comes with some nice features like idling/stop functinon, safety switch on the stand (stand not up - no ignition), big compartment under the seat and its just a comfortable ride, the best scooter I ever had here in LOS :-)
For longer rides nothing beats a big bike. I ride a Kawasaki ER6n. A little bit more power to get around here.

Managed to download an English version of the manual so that was handy!

The 135 CC engine is pretty peppy especially for an automatic. It's water cooled and the tires are 'tubeless' and the suspension makes riding very smooth even on the crappy roads of Thailand.

God, I hate non-automatic bikes. Too much to concentrate on! Riding on Olay's bike was a real chore and I wasn't confident about the busy roads. Different case with the Yamaha, though.

Never seen a 135cc before .

That was a good price for a Yamaha with disc brakes , the whole package would be 2-3 times that in the UK .

Should have got a nice Vespa though
