Especially since in Sonya's case, someone else broke my (our?) trust and reported to Sonya.

Your post number 4 of this thread painted a picture of Alaskan Bear as the perpertrator of the Kwang outing, the one that nearly got FF assaulted... and you did nothing to clarify this point that it was an entirely different matter and differnt LB until FF mentioned it himself.

I am really more of a arithmetician than a racist. Yes, I breached the trust of one ladyboy, not the trust of many BM's, and my little sin couldn't possibly have dire consequences for Sonya. Just add the pluses and minuses.
It is funny how some of you like to bring up this story, reaching out to grab every straw that could help you make your non-existent point to demonstrate how I am the prick you seem to think I am.

I will do exactly that now that I see the inability of many ppl to get their facts straight before posting, and how skewed their logic is, jumping to conclusions and privileging feelings and image over facts.

As I remember it, during the 'changeover' to a paywall, the main selling point, indeed the rationale was the greater protection from the so-called hero factor. I and some others argued at the time that a Paywall was no guarantee. And so it has been proven several times since...

Perhaps the over-sell raised expectations ? In any case we have a lot of pissed off BMs and even some BMs who have ('accidentally') transgressed.

This has led to accusations and calls for lynching and..and..and.. all based on sketchy facts and supposition.

Add to this threats made to ruin people's lives based on such unsubsantiated hearsay and the word of ladyboys on hormones with disparate agendas...

Here is a fact that ALL should come to grips with :

I wasn't going to jump into this since its mud slinging back and forth but here's how things appear from an unbiased perspective.

There's a phrase I heard a long time ago, "You're not in distress, you cause distress!" Tan you are too good hearted. I would stop blaming manarak and everyone else. They're not the root cause. You said it yourself, you can talk to anyone you want and do what you want to do. Except in talking to that girl, the "supposed victim" although supposedly she was already a jilted ex, she took advantage of you and used you as a weapon putting you in the middle of all this and sadly creating all this headache. She is the root cause. Your life was fine before she entered it. Sadly you being a good samaritan had consequences you didn't originally anticipate.

But you're not the first one to get hoodwinked and you certainly won't be the last. 1 of my neighborhood kids, a 22 year old guy who was really good hearted like you, decided once to give some people a lift in a snow storm to get them to safety. How did they repay him? By mugging him, and shooting him in the head twice and making his pregnant girlfriend's unborn child half an orphan. Its a true story. Sadly people are ungrateful all the time. You probably all know a similar situation. So Tan please you have to choose who to help and who not to because if you go by emotion alone, you're never far away from a mess like what happened.

Foxxee and manarak.. unfortunately you both are good hearted people too. Manarak posted openly trying to prevent a ladyboy from scamming and getting another sponsor to support herself. Yes I know there are lots of good ladyboys. But are there no ladyboys that will not try their hardest to get sponsorships from multiple people? So he posted a trip report.. trying to tell other people in his own way, "watchout here, she's sponsored, don't fall for it!". Instead of getting thanks he gets ratted out and then gets hit by the morality police. Of course he's pissed.. for him on a forum like this, apparently no amount of generosity goes unpunished.

And he still posts more TR's trying to help more people. If that was me, I would have stopped immediately. Why bother anymore? At some point you have to be concerned about your own personal security like friedfunk is now. However if no one writes trip reports, this forum would be dead.

I feel I must add, that if you feel compelled to help, I suggest you follow in the examples of some experienced BM's like thegame925. Although I don't know him very well, mostly just through his trip reports, he is an exceedingly good example of how and when to trust and lend a helping hand. Sure there is never any guarantee that your generosity will not backfire and make you look like an idiot, but its better to get to know the person/ people you are going to know from different angles over a long period of time before you bestow your trust on them.

In conclusion I hope my post has been balanced with reason and facts rather than taking sides. I sincerely hope Tan and manarak and other bm's avoid quagmires in the future. Please take a good look of things around you from all angles before you act and possibly get used by someone else.

Tan tries to help someone, without even knowing Solice...your friend tries to help someone and gets killed...and somehow it's their fault....somehow they should have known what was going to happen...?
