I based my numbers on typical "numbers of Girls" I witnessed or what other Pattaya regulars have mentioned/posted pics. i.e if you ask the Mamasan at Cascade how many staff they have she will tell you that they have 140. Personally I take that with a pinch of salt - same as many things I am cynical.
But the jist of the numbers is accurate - if you want to see the LB of your dreams in Pattaya, you either have to be damn lucky or you go and buy 14 drinks visiting 14 venues to see the same volume in those 2 venues in Bangkok. Nothing wrong with either approach - just a case of pointing out that the 'plethora' of dedicated venues does not equal volume, or at least volume as its known in Bangkok. Infact based on your figures, you can cover 50% of the ladyboys just by visiting Pook and Obsession in Pattaya.
Convert this into baht and what does it mean?
14 Beers in Pattaya = 1400 Baht (one per venue - some higher, some lower)
Transport = 300b (combination of Baht buses, motorcycle taxis) as these places are NOT walking distance.
14 lady drinks = 2,000 baht
Total 3,400b and you have seen 170 girls.
2 Beers in Nana = 290b
Transport = zero, assuming your staying in soi 2/4/6
2 Lady drinks = 290b
Total 580b and you have seen 180 girls.
Maybe it starts to put a different slant on the cost differences between the two cities?
And dont get me wrong, I know all the venues in Pattaya and like them for what they are but I am just portraying a reality check regarding the volume of girls who actually work in the dedicated venues - I have been in all these places countless times and for the most part, my observation number wise is pretty accurate - but that is the bars are measured - its the number and quality of the talent ON DISPLAY at the time you go in. The scene is different for guys who 'long stay' but for someone in town for a two week holiday, has a whole different set of criteria.

) is a big negative in my book. As I'm only around for a few days at a time, I like to drink and party, and a little afternoon "hair of the dog" on Soi 6 is just what I need to settle my stomach. 
but walking many places is possible if you stay on the shady side of the street. If beachs are not your thing then go straight to Bangkok.
