GDS - yes, I would say the contestants for this contest were quite strong, there's no doubt that most of the top 10 would have been a worthy winner. I have been to couple of MIQs in the past, and this year had some very lovely non-Asian contestants.
1st up acknowledging the winner of the Angel talent competition no. 23, Melania from Colombia. I think Ami Takeuchi no. 20 could have been an excellent choice for no. 1, but Japan twice in a row probably stacked the odds against her.
2nd photo is of MIQ 2009 - Ai Haruna, doing her farewell walk.
3rd photo is of the 3 finalists - Stasha Sanchez from USA, Mini from Korea and Ami Takeuchi from Japan.
There was a very large news contingent that rushed the stage for photos after the crowing - quite a few from Japan since the previous winner came from there.
Of course there are lots of glamorous audience members too.
I'm not sure if the 1st photo is an lb or not - my panel said they didn't think so, but she's quite lovely.
The 2nd photo is of Nong Poy, Miss Tiffany and MIQ 2004, posing with Khun Alisa, the general manager of Tiffany Show
The 3rd photo is of Nong Film Miss Tiffany and MIQ 2007. Interesting my panel informed me Nong Film and Nong Poy did not speak to each other despite sitting beside each other for the night.
For the fans of Jenna Talackova she's being interviewed for Pattaya Mail TV, as well as a few other contestants. Her interview comes up at the 7:54 mark.
