This is a great idea! Really enjoyed the candid interview. It's nice to see the transoriented (tranny fans) and transwomen having civil and intellectual discussions. There may be hope for us after all. lol

Maybe that's because some of us are not tranny fans . Speaking only for myself, I like the person, not the tranny.  

I think tranny fan is a slightly derogatory term bandied about and used in reference to those (customers ?) who over the 3rd sex, much as an infatuated child  

No offence to you personally transcebu, but as one who 'studies' this topic, it's just as well to be careful with labels

As one who has been in a few long term relationships with ts over the last 12 or so years and as 50% of a good and healthy relationship with a TS now I find it not offensive at all... but perhaps puerile?

I have read much of what you write Transcebu and I think your are a genuine and polite chap who has a good life in Cebu and a happy realtionship.

But labels irk me. Being a tranny fan is not what I am. My sexual preference is for TS. Its not a choice. I didn't decide one day... "Hmm, women? Men? Transexuals?... I'll choose TS!" No... Its just the way I am. I still love the beauty and charm of women but not the sex. I enjoy the company of men, but have never considered them sexually. Ts are .... just what they are to me.

Choice implies options. I don't wish to have sexs with GG's or Men. (And oh, how hard it was coming out 15 years ago and trying to explain that liking TS does NOT mean its all about cocks and you are queer. I lost a lot of gay mates who assumed my love for TS made me gay. )

One of the big questions in Aus at the moment is the Gay Marriage Issue. Those who oppose it always talk about being gay as a lifestyle choice. As in "Well if you choose to be gay....

It is not. Its is fundamentally how you are genetically encoded. I will grant that given DNA only exists to replicate itself it might be a flaw from the point of view of replication. But it is not a choice or a lifestyle: "Honey, I'm 55 and I'm going to join the bowls club and retire to become a grey nomad and also I think being Gay might be cool".

You don't choose your sexuality. You can choose to deny it. But really I think your sexuality chooses you.

Here is some updates on Tia Phoenixx in 2015.
Said she is going post op in 2016 and currently in Thailand consulting with doctor suporn.
Never actually met her in person but I have known her for over 10 years.

I've never met her either, but have had some correspondence with her. Very classy lady, extremely smart and quite successful. When I was corresponding with her, she wasn't sure about SRS, but now that she's made her decision, it sounds like she is doing her home work checking out the best doctors.
