I hate to sound like a know it all (since i havent made the streets of Bangkok unsafe that many times) but the times i was on the streets i never had the pleasure of seeing a black tgirl on any persuasion.

Maybe the original post was definite that Black =African whereas its obviously possible to meet Black Asians (just as there are Chinese Jews), so I am not sure. I don't think the cultural aspect is important rather its more about Thailand operating a closed shop for working girls. Short answer is yes they did  -  but they don't seem to be common at all.
The only one I have seen was up-country in Issan in a small town who looked very  african and had frizzy hair.

You are right that most of the dark skinned Thais are from the souuth but there are plenty in Issan who are very dark from working out in the sun.
My ex-girlfriend's half brother is very dark normally and she used to tease him about being african when he was smaller than her -  he goes almost black in the sun!
I understand that he is 100% Thai but his father was dark skinned.

Thanks for this astute comment. When I think about the topic, it seems that there is often a form of separation in places, partly geographical, partly cultural. In Diva's in San Francisco whenever I have been there, the girls -be they out for a good time or in search of clients- have been mostly Asian or Latino, there were a couple of black girls when I was there and one worked in the cloakroom otherwise they were not a visible part of the crowd and the same goes for black men. Again the same in Ina's in New York and also Lucky Cheung's whereas in Stonewall there were a lot of Latino and mixed Latino-Black teens for the dance scene. In Paris there are few Asians, and most of the Black ts I have come across are from Latin America -same is true of the scene in Italy and Spain (I don't know about Germany); in fact although I haven't been to to London's WayOut for some years now, my impression is that the UK has the most mixed groups of people at clubs, bars and on the escort scene and this would have to include Australia as I assume there aren't that many Black ts there either in trade or socially.
