Well, I better start my trip report before the events get all jumbled.
Day 1 and 2
I took the flight with a transfer in Beijing. This cut some time off the flight. This flight goes across the western portion of Greenland, the arctic wilderness and down over Irkutsk to Beijing. This was a little over 13 hours flying time. Unfortunately the plane left a little late and the flight was delayed in landing (we circled several times). When I did land, I only had 1 hour before my connecting Thai Airways flight left. For some crazy reason, I had to get the boarding pass in Beijing. I stopped at the transfer desk and was told that the Thai desk was now closed €“ It closes 1 hour before the flight. A helpful attendant said that they would get me on the flight but my luggage may miss the flight and I would have to pick it up at the Bangkok airport later. I said it would be OK and at that minute he got a phone call and said they had located my luggage and it would be on the flight. At this point they produced a boarding pass and the race was on. With ten minutes to go this attendant produced a boarding pass, took me through Chinese passport checking -by passing the line and getting disgruntled looks from other travellers (I do not know why I must have my passport stamped for a transfer.), a security check and scan and a long run through a huge airport. Out of breath I was one of the last to board the plane and we took off on time. I have fond memories of Thailand. My last trip was three years ago. The people are accepting, helpful, and friendly with that great smile. I all of a sudden felt that warmth when I was welcomed on the plane. The flight from Beijing to Bangkok took 5 hours and 10 minutes and we landed 10 minutes early. With great happiness I got my luggage and looked for my pickup by the limo for the Pattaya Bay Resort. The car is top of the line and the cost of the trip was more expensive then a taxi. It was a good investment considering how tired I was and the fact that I wanted not hassles and a quick trip to Pattaya.
The driver was there and we drove to the hotel. I picked up this hotel from positive remarks on Ladyboy Forums website and am pleased with the hotel. I quickly unpacked and headed out for the evening. It was a little past midnight Pattaya time.
I went down to beach road and took the Baht bus to walking street. I went to Ezy Bar having heard good comments on the website and found it closed. Pattaya is not busy at all. This is my first summer trip as last time I was here was in the end of January. Some bars had one or two customers and many girls just sitting around doing nothing. I walked down to old Jenny Star bar (Now called English Bar I think?? but poorly signed). There were 6 girls in the bar. While I was there Moo made a brief appearance €“ 5 minutes and off she went. I had a couple of beers but the flight and lost sleep did me in. Off I went without any company to get some sleep. I walked along Beach road and thought I would walk up one of the street to 2nd street and back to the hotel. The street I went up is Soi 13/4, the one which has Obsessions on it. When I get to Obsessions one of the girls smiles at me and I smile back and you know what happens, she grabs me and takes me in. The girls are all over me. I felt like I was at Casanova in Bangkok. Some fine lookers at Obsessions and one which I noted called Sofie (More about Sofie later). A few more beers and the bar closes. I am smart enough not to bar fine anyone considering the state I€™m in. End day 1 and 2.
