Conditions in phuket and pattaya

Just curious, but anyone know what Pattaya and Phuket are like right now?

Pattaya is crawling with people. A lot of the tours booked for Phuket were rerouted here because of the Tsunami. Combine that with normal heavy influx of tourists at this time of year and it is busting at the seams. Walking Street has been a parking lot from early eveing on.
