No problem my friend - how are you anyway? I did enjoy meeting you in La Bamba last year and hope to catch up with you again.

I only pointed out the TGIT correction as TGIF is so different from TGIT I wouldn't want anyone heading there expecting some nocturnal shenanigans!

Spot on about TGIT though - go in there around lunchtime and the natives are hungry. And usually dressed in nictotine-smelling cocktail dresses... bless 'em.

Even though it a little bit of topic (sorry Tia) i really found your post quit insightful Game.

It kind of confirmed my views on the seemingly inconceivable combination of the law system in the UEA countries (not even going to mention Kuweit or Saudi) and the abundance of vice girls (in every thinkable form) in those area's.

According to a girlfriend of mine, who went there, its almost exclusively working girls when you go out in most clubs, even in Dubia.Plus like you said before, most girls are there to party and find a rich boyfriend,so they are more likely to be enticed by certain offers then when in a different enviroment (this was surely the case with one of her girlfriends, who worked a lot of different promotional and marketing jobs and couldnt really be called a ''working girl'' for all intents and purposes but who be more then a girl who carried the monicker ''gold digger'' in London or NYC).

Anyways this either shapes or reaffirms (difficult discussion) the view most men have of ''those type of girls'' in the UEA (girlfriends boyfriend is from Pakistan, not most liberal of places ofcource and he couldnt understand that a girl like her would have sex for no monetairy gain at all even though could be consider somewhat culture...meaning he has a good job in television and worked in Western Europe before).

Now,if you consider there views of sexuality and women in general, mix that with the general perception of ''deviant'' behaviour (homosexuality...there only as broadsided to see Tgirls as girls when the have sex with them but for all intents and purposes in society at large...especially legally there is no recognition at all) then your basically always walking around with a target on your back over there as a Tgirl in my perception.I really dont judge them for there views in regards to Tgirls because i think those things are mostly culturally biased and where hardly angels when it comes in the West but the difference with us is that legal recourse is available, nobody is that flagerently above the law and the availabilty of help from outsider is a lot bigger.

Guess the money is just to big a draw (understandably) and the fact that Dubia is perceived as liberal (for most Westerners it is but only under the discretion of the royal family and those connected to them....) hides these dangers.

Now i am sure there are a lot of really nice people, who are generally broadminded and fun to be around in the UAE.I also believe that the oppertunities there for business (of any kind) look incredible favourable with the abundance of money, the discretionary spending power of those that have money and the incredibly progressive tax system there.

Still,i would probably think twice about moving there in relation to getting offer a genuinely good appointment at a international company (finance/law/marketing) because i would feel to restricted and would consider my status of dubious legal certainty.

If born a blond cute smart bombshell,i would probably avoid it.

If i worked hard and turned myself into a beautiful blond bombshell (or anything comparable....and i did the whole transformation thingy a couple of times,i sure some Arabs would take a fancy ) i would only visit as a tourist......and wouldnt visit, for security reasons,at all without some proper male companion with enough riches or social standing that could act as a shield again falsely made accusations.

I think the key point about Tia's experience is that someone with a grudge intervened in what would otherwise have been a regular visit, and that is something that could happen elsewhere. We have got used to liberal attitudes over-riding the law in a lot of countries where same-sex relations are illegal, for example in Singapore, but where the law is rarely enforced. The basic rule, and I think most BM's already observe it in Thailand and elsewhere, is to be discreet and sensible, in other words, not to give law enforcement any opportunity to pounce. Whether that ever prevents a determined saboteur from getting their revenge I don't know, guess its up to the local police to do something or ignore it.

          Dexter,

Though i agree with you i personally find that the consequences in Singapore might be a lot less harsh then in an comparable middle Eastern country...

The justice system just works better over there and in general there more prone to feel crititque of outside sources.

Though i am hardly and idealist and believe that the situation wouldnt be bad over there as well UEA or comparable countries offer unique dangers in regards to single woman of the profession.
